Peter pettigrew quotes Vines religiously and half of the time nobody gets it
When I was a little boy, girls used to just do random cartwheels for no reason. Then one day, they stopped. Now that I am a man, no women randomly do cartwheels. This is because society is evil and killed the cartwheel impulse in their soul. They don't even spin horizontally anymore. It's fucked up.
the problem is i really do love staying up until one billion o'clock. it just cant be helped
Remus, on the phone: Guys, where are you? This place is fancy and I don’t know which fork to kill myself with.
you think that you're so alone in the world then you read literature from hundreds of years ago and you realize that other people have always felt this way
people will never say it enough
life is shit but at least queen and david bowie made a song together.
keep your head up, fellow wizard! it’s incantation, not incanttation!
wait
hold on
wait
good music should beat the shit out of you
not naming names but some of you are so creative and talented it's an honor to have you in my phone
one time I went over to a friend's house and their housemate was making paper in the living room, and we saw this big tub full of water they were using to dissolve old scrap paper into a slurry, and everyone was immediately like "oh, you need scrap paper?" and started turning out their jacket pockets and producing expired coupons and bus tickets and crumpled receipts and old shopping lists and whatever else they'd been carrying round with them for no good reason, and passing it all to the paper-making housemate to make sure it was suitable before it got torn up and dropped into the tub, while people took turns stirring the slurry with a big wooden stick. it was strangely ritualistic, like presenting an offering to some kind of temple elder for inspection before placing it in a watery shrine to be devoured and reformed. pulp for the pulp god.
finally the flesh reflects the madness within
god knew i’d be too powerful if I could explain how I feel

Random Ravenclaw boy: but Mary, you said "later" an hour ago
Mary, rolling her eyes: when a girl says "later" she really means "not ever." Now run along. There's plenty of girls waiting for you to waltz them into a wall
McGonagall is strict about seating charts. She separates James and Peter because they distract each other. She separates the Prewett twins because they cause explosions.
But she never separates Sirius and Remus.
One day, a substitute professor takes over Transfiguration and immediately moves Sirius to the front and Remus to the back to stop them from whispering.
The lesson is a disaster. Remus, usually top of the class, can’t get his teapot to sprout legs. Sirius, usually a natural, ends up shattering three teacups in frustration. The air in the room feels heavy, static, and discordant.
When McGonagall returns, the substitute complains about their lack of focus. McGonagall just sighs and moves them back to their shared desk.
Immediately, the static clears. Remus casts a non-verbal spell perfectly. Sirius leans back, relaxed, his magic settling instantly.
"It’s called Magical Resonance," McGonagall explains to the confused substitute, watching them bicker over a quill. "Mr. Black’s magic is volatile and chaotic. Mr. Lupin’s is controlled but often suppressed. When they are within three feet of each other, they create a perfect circuit. They don't just work better together, they literally balance each other’s magical cores. Separating them is like trying to split an atom. It just causes a mess."
Me looking at byler vs mileven and just seeing jegulus vs jily all over again
One of my favourite GO moments is when Nina calls Crowley weird bc she really breaks the glittery 4th wall of the story and makes you realise how deeply strange they must look.
To everyone on the street there is just this extremely gay, pushy bookseller bookhoarder who probably sells something illicit or runs a backroom operation in his shop to stay in business in the middle of Soho. Then there’s his off putting emo rottweiler husband/body guard/possibly a sugar baby because his only job seems to be mogging during their thinly veiled public dom/sub play while he drives the other one around at a gazillion miles an hour in Draculas favourite hot wheel.
