what on earth is going on with this new ace pride flag thing lmao is this just some instagram discourse i've been looped into or is this something i have to care about
it actually makes me so sad and angry when people deny their fave blorbo could possibly be a sadist like whats wrong with sadism did sadism do something problematic
For our second date can you keep me in your basement? ^^
ooh so you like my blog? name five of my fetishes
oops i picked up what i thought was a sweet BL and it cold-opened on uncensored anal
I donât think that should be a controversial opinion! The concept of âI canât do this YETâ is the core of growth mindset, which is the golden rule for modern education (at least in my school district). I had that drilled into me like crazy growing up, but I truly believe it
We even had growth mindset/mastery based grading scale where recent work was weighted higher.
I think itâs a really healthy and positive outlook. Every day you get a little better. It might take a very long time, donât stress, youâre not there yet. But you will be!
Fixed intelligence and fixed talent is a myth, the reality is a mix of privilege, culture, and luck. Everything is a skill that can be cultivated, through making mistakes and learning and getting better. The people who make you believe otherwise are people who donât want to see you succeed!
Sorry rant over! I just woke up itâs 5AM and I have strong feelings
no i agree entirely! i don't actually 100% understand why so many people are against the idea that they could improve? i guess it's kind of scary to think that you're not adequately good at something but personally i find it way more encouraging to realize you could get better than to tell yourself you're like, delusional and are secretly amazing at what you're doing and are only failing to execute it because of a personal flaw (like a lack of confidence, lack of creativity etc.) if that makes sense.
i do. in all honestly. if i'm being so fucking real. take a very 'get good' attitude towards writing by which i mean you can learn the necessary skills to improve yourself but you're never going to get there if you spend all your time moping about how you're not good enough or about how you're too delicate to learn. like yeah maybe you're not good enough to execute what you want to write YET. the YET is pivotal. you gotta keep your eyes on the yet. however every time i post something like this on main someone threatens to kill themselves so i don't do that anymore.
also just in general i think people should consider getting critique partners instead of betas -- like obviously having a beta ready is great BUT i think a lot of people would feel way more comfortable receiving critique if they were also on the other end of the equation sometimes. giving critique is really difficult and sometimes authors don't realize or appreciate this. it's also just fun to exchange writing with other people. idk. beta readers are rightfully very valued in fandom spaces but there are other options if that dynamic doesn't work for you.
there's also the option of just not having anyone read over your work and that's completely fine but. coming over to my side blog to say this because i KNOW people will get mad if i put this on main. yes it will stunt your growth as a writer. sorry. them's the breaks.

one thing i see people fake their way through a lot is japan and japanese culture and listen i am not an expert, i've never lived there, i fake my way through a lot too but every so often i see something absolutely wild happen in a fic and it's kind of like. funny? endearing? idk.
you really do meet some of the loveliest people talking about blood and sex online
my wife mostly talks to me like this so i think i've got my finger on the pulse
realizing i cut her name out here so it looks like i could be lying like maybe my bank texted me this instead.
it could be a dnc canvasser for anyone knows.
Masochism is awesome because it lets sex (wet activity)(yucky)(bad sensory input) be a dry activity
That incestuous family is consuming my thoughts
