You know what's wild is I don't see anyone compareing Sera and Carmilla even though they are obvious foils.

Noteably Carmilla is litterly a mother trying to portect her adult children while not hideing the ends she will go to do that. Meanwhile Sera is not a mother she is a sister to Emily. Despite this she sees fit to sheild Emily from the Horrors of what she's doing.

This is to Sera's detriment. It hurts her relationship with Emily when she finds out and no one checks her motives. Meanwhile Carmilla is told by her daughter's to share her burden with Zestial which helps her come to the right conclusion befor more people died in season 1. Sera despite being called out dosn't change corse untill after Adam and Pentious died.

Sera dosn't intervene her self in the finally which leads to Emily geting hurt. The exact person she wanted to portect. Meanwhile Carmilla though late to the game does trun on Vox befor things go nuclear. Her kids don't get hurt in the cross fire in part becuse she was there personaly standing up to Vox.

Sera and Carmilla are both scared of a war hurting there people but Carmilla will stand between her people and danger while Sera stayed safe in heave despite being more powerful.

She joins ever one when she dosn't know if it will work.

Neither are perfect both fuck up and listen to war mongering men. How ever they show collectivist power vs top down power.
