A peaceful Link
I want to see her smile again, with my own eyes.

The Great Fairy from Twilight Princess.
“May your courage spread light to all living things.”
It’s Revali as a hylian!!!
It’s from a while ago but I never got to posting it so I am now.
Link was always falling asleep in Skyloft...
...so here’s a little sketch
“That Zelda is in some way greater than her own self - a goddess or descendant of a goddess- has been explored everywhere from 1998′s Ocarina of Time to 2011′s Skyward Sword- with her well-being often tied to the fate of the kingdom. This plays into the old and often complicated Japanese concept of kokutei, which is the belief in the divinity of the head of state- wherein the ruler is not just the leader of a country… they basically are the country. (…) Link and Zelda exhibit the tropes of western courtly love which emphasises Link’s chivalry and Zelda’s inherent nobility. (…) So when Link acts on the behalf of Hyrule, it is by extension an act of love.”
I'm returning with a WIP Paya!
“The right thing… What is it? I wonder… If you do the right thing… Does it really make… everybody…happy?“
For the anon who requested it, I hope you like it ❤
i love your zelink drawing so is muchhh! if you take requests, will you do another?
I’m so happy you like it so much haha! And yes, I definitely want to. Don’t know how soon I can guarantee it, but there will be more 🌹
“don’t reduce this female character down to a love interest” does not translate into “this female character shouldn’t have a love interest.”
preventing female characters with strong, compelling narratives from experiencing love, intimacy, and affection is just as regressive as reducing them down to sexual accessories for male characters. it assumes that women must choose between a romantic interest and depth of character and ignores a far more productive message: that women are capable of possessing both.
I know i only ever seem to post WIPS but regardless, here's two: the hero of time with Navi ( but without his hat 😮!) And Ganondorf
Riju, Breath of the Wild WIP.
She’s going to be a wonderful chief.
After all this time, I still love Nabooru so much. Just a quick WIP that I don’t think I’ll ever finish, because attempting digital is very tiring, but I added ink flowers because they’ve become one of my favorite things to draw recently.
do you think that breath of the wild lacks in story compared to other zelda games? i felt like it could have been so much better with more direction.
Absolutely not. I think BOTW’s story offers more room for creativity from the player; it allows us the chance to carry the story with us throughout the game or to drop it altogether. Not meaning to criticize you, Anon, but most of the people complaining about BOTW not being story rich don’t seem to be in tune with the rhythm of the game, and, perhaps they’ve gotten used to not using their imagination while playing games because games have become so creative for them. Or maybe they play objective to objective, so all the time out in the wilderness feels like a burden to them rather than experiencing the world.
In my opinion, the story in BOTW was brilliantly thought out and executed in a way that felt, to me, more realistic. I would go as far to say that the main story was as constant as the one in Skyward Sword, the only difference being that BOTW allows you to interpret it as Link and make decisions from there, while Skyward Sword forced you to do everything one way (not that I minded that, I love SS). The main story is not only seen in Links memories or cutscenes like most people seem to claim; it’s all over the game with all the ruins you come across, different NPCs who directly or indirectly mention it, the towns you come across, etc. Even just the horses relate back to the main story, as we learn that Link cared greatly for horses.
We all play the game differently, so we all felt the story differently. I personally felt, with each new detail I discovered, that the story was so much bigger and interconnected and emotional than I could have hoped for. So many bits of the story are scattered across the world of Hyrule, they aren’t just all in the checkpoints toward the True Ending. I think the same goes for Link’s character, which may have not been as blatantly put out for us like TP’s Link, but was still very much there if you were willing to see it. The game is very much based off of interpretation, like all loz games are, in theory, but I certainly don’t think it lacks much in anything, other than cats. Playing the game as Link certainly makes a difference rather than playing a game with Link as the protagonist. When you pretend that you are him as you put together pieces of the story, thinking of how the world around him affects him and how it feels, it’s definitely all more overwhelming than underwhelming. Then again, we all see things differently and I hope the next game will satisfy the both of us. If you want to continue the discussion, feel free to message me and sorry if this felt like I rant, I just have so many feelings about this game! Thanks for reading and have a nice day!
