Hi, we're The Tableful, a non-dissociative traumagenic system! I'm the host, Asia/Marco, and i'm genderfluid, a transmasc azurgirl, heteroflexible and grayromantic! I'm also aldernic, chronosian, a neuronarrator and alterhuman.

We're bodily Italian, white, neurodivergent (OCD and autism), possibly intersex and an adult (21+), even though our individual identities may vary. I'm personally VERY attached to my Italian identity, so expect it to be mentioned every now and then.

Unlike our older pinned post, i'd like to keep our DNI short, so DNI if:

It sucks there seems to be a concerted effort to distance the transfem and transmasc communities from each other. If it weren’t for trans women, I probably wouldn’t have realized I was trans until much later in life.

The cis women in my life were so miserable in their womanhood, I thought that misery was normal. Seeing trans women actually love and fight to be seen as women made me question my own misery

Hatred of transmasculinity doesn’t just come hand in hand with hatred of masculine women, butches and especially transfems and trans women who don’t conform to rigid normative standards of what they’re supposed to and allowed to look like: it is the second edge of the very same blade.

To transandrophobes the archetypal masculine trans woman, transfem butch or nonbinary person not prioritizing passing over gender identity, expression and comfort in the two is at best seen as an unfortunate creature at the side lines and at worst a harmful caricature that perpetuates transphobic stereotypes.

Butch transfems (like me) are accepted by this crowd only if we verbally and ideologically distance ourselves from the “wrong kind of masculinity” ergo anything that looks an arbitrary amount too much like “manhood”.

Our joyful gender expression is seen as a reminder of their internalized dysphoria and self hatred.

And all of that is ALSO transmisogyny in its entirety; policing and marginalizing trans women and transfems for not being conforming enough to hegemonic stereotypes.

Oh and also the assumption that trans male and transmasculine experiences are monolithic and limited to normative manhood and a desire to pass or already being cis passing is ultimately just an expression of an extremely reductionist perspective.

Transmasculinity and trans manhood is as diverse as transfemininity and trans womanhood.

You simply choose to reduce it to because it fits your already existing mentality that casts masculinity and manhood as the inherent oppressor.

Also if you think that way I'm pretty sure I can expect you to ALSO be reductive and exclusionist to any transfem person who doesn't fit your normative ideas... soooo.

I don't care for it: I stand with trans men and transmasculine people in all their vibrant diversity. I stand with the transmasc dykes, the trans male femboys, the transmasc-transfems, the transmasc girlfailures, the trans male bears and transmasc fags, I love my trans male brothers and my transmasc siblings.
