I'm taking requests for headcanons, scenarios, and AUs! You can include your own headcanon in a request if you would like to see it factored into my response!
Will take x reader or ships
Accepting both SFW and NSFW requests
Conditions: if you are requesting NSFW content, you cannot be a minor nor can you request minors! No NSFW requests for characters younger then 18! Not even if you specify that they are aged up. The character must at some point have been depicted as 18 or older in the canon material.
Hitting my brain with newspaper. I HAVE WIPS TO WORK ON. I can't get side tracked imagining a Changed DA from Who Killed Markiplier finally getting to confront Damien, Celine, Actor Mark and the Colonel. Head in hands, TikTok why did you have to remind me how much I love the Markiplier cinematic universe. I'm supposed to be writing about soccer boys and Soul Monsters right now. Or asleep.
Results are in! I'm a little surprised, it's much closer then I expected it to be.
44% for ShunStarrk and 40% for UraShunStarrk!
By law of the poll, it'll be ShunStarrk for the project I'm planning, but maybe I'll write some of the other on the side since people do seem intrigued! Rubs my little hands together
I know the bleach fandom (or at least my neck of the woods of it) is fairly quiet these days. However, I am working on something and on the off chance I make it an extended thing...
Which ship do you want to see?
ShunStarrk (Shunsui x Starrk)
Kistarrk / Uraharrk (Kisuke Urahara x Starrk)
Shunsui x Starrk x Urahara
Voting ended onMay 30
As you can probably tell, it's a Starrk centered piece! Shunstarrk is naturally always a favorite but I feel like I could have fun with Urahara too because surely the guy wouldn't find out an Espada survived and NOT get curious/stick his nose into things, if only to gague the potential threat.
Chat I love them. I love Ubers so much so let me throw on you my delulu
Everyday Life in Ubers
Characters included: Shoei Barou/Baro, Shuto Sendou, Marc Snuffy, Jyubei Aryu, Oliver Aiku, Ikki Niko
(no more cuz I'm tired)
A random thoughts about them as a real team
• Everything in Ubers is scheduled literally down to the minute. Even rest time. Especially rest time. Discipline and order, but not to an extreme.
• Snuffy can suddenly start explaining tactics in the middle of lunch using napkins, forks, or literally anything he can get his hands on. In a way, it’s also entertainment for him.
• Baro gets annoyed when someone touches his stuff. Even a glass being moved by accident irritates him. He’s a perfectionist to the core in that regard, so living with his teammates hasn’t been easy for him. At the same time, Baro is one of the cleanest people on the team. When it comes to personal comfort around others, he prefers Niko’s company the most because he’s the least troublesome.
• Aiku is the one who lightens the mood most often with jokes and humor, no matter the situation or who he’s talking to. Humor will save the world.
• Aiku loves throwing his arms over other people’s shoulders even when they clearly don’t want him to. He genuinely cannot live without physical contact and clings to literally everyone without exception, which sometimes gets him smacked for it.
• Aryu spends more time on his hair than some people spend training. Surprisingly though, he’s never late, because being late is not stylish.
• Aryu carries skincare and hair products even to away matches, which constantly leads to ridiculous situations. But that’s not even the worst part… Aryu still doesn’t know his own teammates secretly steal his products.
• Niko is constantly on his phone or analyzing something. He does listen to everything happening around him, but it’s easier for him to exist in the team while pretending to be deeply busy or detached.
• Niko somehow constantly gets dragged into arguments just by walking past. People always use him as a third party and “the rational perspective,” even if he didn’t witness the argument at all. “Niko, tell him!”
• Sendou suggests ordering food more than anyone else. It’s not even that he dislikes the local food, he just likes the whole “come on, let’s order something” vibe.
• Sendou is always trying to drag someone out to hang out after practice. He likes wandering around in groups. (Baro almost always refuses, but sometimes still goes anyway while pretending he was forced.)
• Ubers gets really quiet in the evenings. Everyone’s so exhausted that the only energy left is for scrolling on their phones or sleeping.
• Aiku sometimes blasts music way too loudly and immediately gets annoyed looks from half the team.
• Snuffy genuinely makes sure they eat and sleep properly. (Which is exactly why they sleep like logs, and why Shuto constantly gets yelled at for ordering garbage food.)
• If someone is hiding an injury, Marc notices almost immediately. He knows his players too well and can tell when they’re lying, faking, or pretending.
• The team has this weird habit of gathering in the kitchen late at night before bed, even when nobody is hungry.
• Baro complains about everyone more than anyone else, but if an outsider starts criticizing Ubers, he’s the first one to defend the team. Only he’s allowed to talk badly about those idiots cuz he’s the one playing and suffering with them, not some random guy.
• Niko and Aryu sometimes discuss other people’s weird habits like they’re conducting scientific research. For Niko it’s more like analysis and discussion, while for Aryu it’s intellectual gossip.
• Sendou loves taking candid pictures of the team. He’d never admit it, but those moments are important to him. (Although photographing these guys is a nightmare. Niko avoids cameras like the plague, Aryu constantly jumps into frame but then starts asking “Do I look good?” and begs for retakes, and convincing Baro to take a photo is basically nine circles of rejection.)
• Either way, half of Sendou’s gallery is just blurry pictures of a tired Baro.
• Aiku can fall asleep literally anywhere. He’s not picky at all.
• The scariest thing for the team is Snuffy’s disappointed look.
• Despite all the arguing and clashing personalities, Ubers still feels like a very organized and mature team. Even when they act like idiots.
I don't have many thoughts about this at the moment but part of me feels like it might be fun if there was a story where Starrk gets sent to the past, back to when a younger Shunsui and Ukitake first encounter that Vasto Lorde and he freaks everyone out.
Like, they would have no knowledge of arrancar yet so perhaps they wouldn't realize he's a hollow at first. Especially with a powerful hollow like a vasto lorde present and being an immediate threat, it could potentially mask the hollow quality to Starrk's own presence when he's suppressing it as much as he can and with his back turned to them.
Only for the shinigami to be stunned when, grudgingly, Starrk releases as much of his reiatsu as is safe for the people around him to intimidate the vasto lorde into backing off. I know that normally, Starrk wouldn't really care enough to do something like that and he doesn't like hurting/killing others with his spiritual pressure. However, at the same time, he's lost, disoriented, everything feels familiar but not and he's really just trying to get Answers but this random vasto lorde won't stop picking a fight and even Starrk has instincts and a limit to his patience.
Idk, as out of character as it would be, I just feel like it would be very funny if Starrk showed up during this very traumatic moment for Shunsui and Ukitake and simultaneously made things Worse (with making them realize there could be/are hollows even more powerful then the vasto lorde they just encountered) and Better (by saving them from the full encounter) and spinning their world on it's head before he realizes he's in the past.
You ever think about how we can assume Lorenzo missed a good chunk of his schooling years, living on the street? Like, the only way he didn't miss at least SOME of his school years is if he was kicked out to live on the streets directly after graduation, but then you would have to assume he was only on the street for a year or so at MOST because he's only 19 and graduation usually happens around 17-18, maybe 19 depending on where your birthday falls in the year. The amount of teeth rot he describes takes A Lot longer then just A Year. And also because he makes it sound like he's know Snuffy for A While, which would mean he would have to have saved him more then just a couple of months ago, especially for Don to have earned the titles he has.
All this rambling to say- please consider the headcanon that Don is potentially taking or had taken online courses to get his high-school degree while training with Ubers after being rescued by Snuffy. It would allow him to work at his own pace while also giving him the flexibility to continue his training.
I mean, I suppose they could have tried putting him back into public or private schools, depending on how old he was when Snuffy picked him up, but he doesn't really feel That socialized to me sooo maybe he felt too self conscious when he was fresh off the streets so he convinced Snuffy to let him take online courses or be home schooled. And by the time he was more confident like his present self, he didnt see the point in changing it?
I don't know, it was just a thought that occurred to me, I'm open to discussing it in the comments or reblogs :)
Got like spammed recently and lowkey dunno why people complain about it- made me feel really good that someone liked all my stuff! Makes me want to get back to making things.
That being said, give me another week or so for finals week and I'll be back!
Give me a Soundwave who falls in love easy and with his whole heart.
Give me a Soundwave who maintains this untouchable face not because he doesn't care- but because he cares so much. Too much. Who believes in the cause and the people and has to hold himself seperate or he'll never have the nerve to make the decisions and sacrifices he knows he HAS to make.
Give me a Soundwave who clings to certain ideas and images of the people he cares about long after they stop being true. Who will always have the best version of them in his spark and who refuses to believe they have changed as much as they actually have.
Give me a Soundwave who can read minds and see their true intents and who closes his eyes and plugs his ears ANYWAYS because that can't be true- to believe it is to uproot his core beliefs and leave him unmoored in this ocean of information he can barely keep himself afloat in.
Give me a Soundwave who takes no joy in the pain and suffering he inflicts, but justifies it to himself. Surely, this is just a fraction of the suffering they've all endured under the old rule. Change is never easy, change is painful, and Monsters like those from the old world only understand the language of agony, so surely they must speak it too to be understood.
Give me a Soundwave who depends on his cassettes more then anyone realizes, emotionally and mentally. Who uses their presence as reminder and anchor and comfort and crutch.
Give me a Soundwave who locks himself in his room the second his shift is over, cycling through old, saved recordings of old, lost music and just. Breathing. Curled on his berth, surrounded by his cassettes. Processing, thinking, feeling where others can't see the cracks. Can't see the overwhelmed strain of his aching processor, something he would never show infront of the troops because it is his responsibility to seem sturdy and resilient and infallible, competent and capable even when things are falling apart under foot.
Give me a Soundwave who is always listening because he initially wanted to stay on top of fixing anything that made everyone's lives harder, who only learned paranoia later after overhearing so much distrust and deceit.
Give me a Soundwave who still silently addresses and corrects issues that inconvenience those living on the Nemesis, even the small things, despite knowing that no one would ever thank him or even realize he was the one who fixed it, given his reputation.
Give me a Soundwave whose potential neglect is not born from apathy, but from a lack of time, resources, or priority in the bigger picture.
Give me a Soundwave who is so Tired. But so Stubborn. This war is Personal because it is Bigger then him and to give in, to give up, is to betray everything he believes in, everything he has fought to protect and to change. Who fights so passionately for something he believes so wholeheartedly in that he has NO time to stop and see the truth of what they have become.
Soundwave is a silently cocky, confident mech. He doesn't need to boast, because his competence and superiority are self evident and uncontested. But he's also an empath dialed to 11 with telepathy in the middle of a war full of chaos.
Guzma and N are lowkey two sides of the same fucked up, manipulated little coin.
Both want the best for their respective groups (Guzma wants to support his crew of misfits, M wants to improve conditions for pokemon)
Both were manipulated by people they sought validation and guidance from. (It was a lot less personal for Guzma, but you can still tell that it felt good to think someone outside of his crew believed in his strength)
Both revolt against the expected status quo (Guzma resents the antiquated aspects of the island challenge and rejects Kukui's proposal of introducing a league to Alola, which to him is just a foreinger's take on the island challenges with all the same problems he has with the island challenge, and N seeks to free pokemon from their trainers under the manipulated belief that pokemon only suffer under human hands)
The main difference is their approach- which, aside from just generally being different people, can partly be attributed to the fact that N was highly isolated as a child and wasn't the one Directly Experiencing the injustice he wishes to correct as an adult. Guzma, however, was actually rather frequently under the spotlight, if all the trophies he had is an indication, and he was the one directly experiencing the pressure to be better, be stronger. He was the one being directly affected by people's perceptions of second and third place being something to be disappointed and upset about.
Edit: lowkey meant to post this to a different blog of mine but accidentally saved it as a draft to this blog instead so- you're getting it here lmao
Don Lorenzo is definitely someone who gives people nicknames- but I'm realizing that none of the other Ubers feel like people who would use casual nicknames regularly? Aside from Maybe Aiku?
Don could definitely call Aiku "Ollie" or "Captain Green Bean" because he plain doesn't care, in my mind.
But I'm trying to decide if Aiku would call Lorenzo "Donnie" or something of the like-
But both are definitely the sort to hit you with a "bud/buddy" or a "pal" tho, perhaps even a "kid" (more so Aiku then Don for that last one), excluding personal nicknames. Aiku because he's being chummy or competitive depending on context, and Don because bro straight up just doesn't remember the names of anyone he doesn't care enough about to interact with regularly or, in a professional capacity, of anyone who aren't worth much in soccer.
But like, the both of them are definitely hitting Barou with "Lion King" and "King Cub" while Snuffy gets "Bossman" and "Chief", and on one memorable occasion, "Big Bird" in addition to the more expected "Coach"
I know that during the NEL they were Masters and not technically coaches- and it doesn't really make sense for Snuffy to be their coach outside of the NEL considering he's still an active player on his own team since he chose not to retire- but I think they still happily call him coach
I'm rambling and getting off topic, I think- but Barou DOES give people nicknames, theyre just... more insults, so I guess that's why I didn't connect it in my head to this. Calling someone a pegleg definitely feels different than calling them Pal lmao
Put Welcome to Nightvale on in the background while I work on asks and now I have to fight the urge to make WTNV AUs for all my fandoms. I think it could be funny, the nature of WTNV makes any of it fairly reasonable lmao. I'm just not sure how I would sustain them or if they would all just be one offs unless further asked for.
Dunno how much attention this will get, but I have a question.
If I wrote stuff for Coyote Starrk, what would you like me to do? This poll obviously ignores potential aus that would naturally negate the need for the question, for example aus where Starrk avoids participating in the war or never fought Shunsui.
I think writing their dynamic would be fun, and talking about Lilynette is Unavoiable, she's so significant to his character that she will always haunt his narrative and depending on the AU, she will definitely be present. This is more a 'when creating scenarios, which should be the default assumption regarding her status when writing canon adjacent post winter war' because trying to account for both her presence and her absence in every single scenario post winter war could become tedious because she has significant impact on Starrk and thus her presence would change how interactions would proceed and decisions are made.
I could also be greatly over thinking this, hence the final option in the poll lol
Was gonna make a post with one line of thought and then decided I wanted to stew on it longer so please instead imagine Mick Moon being happy and being Don Lorenzo's Fun Uncle (or other dad, if you ship him with Snuffy) who is as proud of his achievements as if they were his own :]
I feel like I should warn that I don't really have experience writing x reader and I apologize if that reflects in the quality, but I think it could be a fun challenge!
