i’m watching Bee Movie for the first time

i’m 1 minute and 30 seconds in

a’ight so this main character is supposed to be a male bee but he uses a pencil sharpener to sharpen his stinger but male bees don’t have stingers?

nobody in this family knows how to dress a little boy

Kanaya: Dresses him more properly, he's more or less meant to be playing quietly and nicely indoors. Not considering that he's kind of hyper and bad, also outfits and clothes from her tend to be more ""girly"" than anyone else.

Dave: "oh my God he's 6 years old who cares bro he's comfortable that's all that matters leave him alone" Dresses him for comfort over anything "he's just going to get dirty anyway" the clothes he buys him are also more "sporty" and obviously ""boyish"" but like...also stupidly expensive for something that's "just going to get dirty"? who knows.

Rose: She lets him pick a piece out then picks the rest of his clothes to match :) like Dave she leans a little too heavily into the fact that he's a boy. Still closer to how Kanaya dresses him because he really is meant to be playing nicely inside in the outfits she picks out.

Karkat: He just grabs whatever, puts it on him and says "that's probably good enough" no matter the situation. like no Karkat an oversized pajama shirt and jeans that Dirk has grown out of are not "good enough" look at him he's a mess and it's embarrassing. This is fine since Karkat is only around for a couple years of his early childhood in my au and doesn't come back till Dirk is 15. This works out for both of them because you don't have to dress 15 year olds

Dirk likes how Rose and Kanaya dress him the best even though they hardly ever dress him at all but at the same time he would rather Dave dress him than Karkat 😭
