—To begin with, I don't think Jack's the type to criticize or look down on someone based on their clothing. Despite the era in which he was raised, he's relatively open-minded, able to discern a person's true nature with a glance—see the double meaning—without needing to judge them by what they're wearing.
—Now, compared to the style he's used to seeing, with its modest yet ever-changing silhouettes paired with elaborate accessories and embellishments, he can't help but be fascinated by your fashion choices. It's something new for him to see such vibrant garments that reflect how you want to be seen.
—Jack would study you as if you were a work of modern art, finding in your daily choices a kind of performance to admire from a respectful distance, without wanting to make you uncomfortable. Jack is a man who loves theater, drama, and a good show; your unique style would remind him of Shakespearean characters who enter with presence.
A gentle clap of his gloved hands welcomed you into the room where he was waiting for you. ❝Oh, my dear, you arrive as if the world were your audience. How delightful!❞ The slight tilt of his head did little to hide the warm, attentive gaze of his, fixed on you and you alone.
—On a more troublesome note, a bold style is bound to attract attention in various ways, from curious glances to harsh murmurs. Jack won't be so drastic as to kill someone for it, not after wanting to improve his ways, but that doesn't preclude him from adopting a protective stance as gentlemanly as it's unnerving. No one can escape his gaze; with a mere gesture, he can silence any ill intent in anyone.
—This is more of a personal idea, but I imagine that, thanks to his skill with his hands—I recall he custom-makes his own knives and other tools—he wouldn't mind sketching some garments inspired by your style. It'd be a kind of dramatic Victorian silhouette fused with modern eccentricity, I personally think. A marvel for the discerning eye, even.

—More romantically speaking, I feel that the color you use most in your fashion choices would be the one Jack would first associate with love as a concept. Despite being able to discern the feelings of others, he's incapable of understanding his own emotions most of the time. And that style you wear, as creative as it is confident, leads him to associate it with what your presence makes him feel. Because that same presence provides him with an undeserved warmth for someone as vile as he sees himself.

—If the fight between the two kings was brutal enough, seeing your partner lying in one of the recovery pods horrified you even more, if that were possible. The nurses had made it clear how delicate the situation was when you arrived with Brunhilde and Göll: Qin's condition was critical, and his fate depended on his will to live.
—With those words, you felt as if the world were crashing down around you, for it wasn't the first time you had lost him; he had already suffered in life before you had followed him to the afterlife. Even so, the sorrow in your heart never faded the moment you spent by his side, waiting and waiting.
—You didn't know how long you sat there, lost in your own world, until the gentleness of a caress pulled you from your turbulent thoughts. His finger had moved barely, brushing against your hand, which rested on what remained of his; it was as if Qin wanted to reassure himself that you were truly present with him. His consciousness hadn't fully returned at that point, yet his body seemed to need you more than to wake up.
—Once his eyes opened, you had never missed those dark orbs with wide white pupils more. The first thing he gave you was a smile, a trembling, tender smile that brought you immense relief.
—Out of respect for his condition, you didn't rush to his arm to hug him, but Qin did try to sit up in the pod he was on, though pain shot through his body from head to toe. You stopped him abruptly, and he gave in, something he rarely did, even with you. However, the first thing that came from his lips was nothing more than a question.
❝Are you okay?❞ His synesthesia makes other people's pain his own, so he needs to know that you haven't suffered unnecessarily for him. His victory is secondary to yours.
—As soon as you told him you were better, since he was at least conscious at that point, his body seemed to relax under the sheets. His hand still rested under yours, so you took the opportunity to stroke his knuckles, an action that prompted him to reciprocate the touch and, finally, raise his arm to cradle your face.
—Qin's thumb traced your cheek as if he needed to remind himself that you were still with him, that he hadn't lost you again after a battle. Though utterly exhausted, his gaze was only ever so proud and tender when he was with you. He didn't say it aloud, but it was palpable in the air between you two: your presence was his refuge, his strength, his beginning after the end.
—Sadly, the moment came sooner than expected to an end as the nurses entered the room to continue the treatment of the first emperor of China.

friendship and romantic headcanons of ohma, gaolang and saw paing with a kure! reader
—This goes without saying, but at first it's a surprise to all of them to end up forming a good relationship with someone from the Kure Clan. This is partly because the clan itself isn't exactly known for being friendly, if you know what I mean. And that's without even mentioning how well they get along—note the sarcasm—with the couple of members they already know.
—Ohma finds silent support in your presence during your training sessions because, yes, you both share a training space from time to time. He's not much of a talker, especially when he's in the middle of an exercise, and even then he can't help but make a dry comment or two in your presence because that's how comfortable he feels with you.
—Given your styles of fighting, it's normal that towards the end of your training sessions you both end up sparring until the floor cracks, and he calls that "a good afternoon," mind you. You two have that particular knack for matching each other's intensity enough not to overwhelm each other on the first try.
—Ohma's one of the few who don't consider the Kure Clan's techniques monstrous, which means he doesn't criticize you for using them. That also means that, if the opportunity arises, he'll observe you in great detail to study each of your movements. Then, once it's over, he'll ask you, quite bluntly, about assassination stances as if they were just another martial art.
—Discussing one technique or another can end up in more or less intense debates about the pros and cons of your respective arts, since the efficiency of the Kure Clan may clash quite a bit with Ohma's raw adaptability.
♡—Now, on a more romantic note, he doesn't do dating traditionally—there's almost nothing about him that suggests normality to begin with. His idea of an ideal date would be going to a rooftop with the city lights illuminating your surroundings and sparring lightly until both of you are breathless on the floor. Then he sits with you, sharing food in the quiet ambient, legs dangling over the edge as you both converse or not at all.
♡—Now, given that it's a more intimate relationship, Ohma might be willing to add some physical touch to the equation. Neither of you are used to gentle touch, so it might take some time, but little by little you'll start to feel a hand squeezing on your shoulder, him pulling you closer after a fight, and so on. It's a gradual change that requires a terrifying amount of comfort, because it shows you're not just a comrade, but someone he's afraid of losing.
—To begin with, Gaolang has a deep respect for all disciplines, which applies to the rigorous training the Kure Clan puts its members through. That kind of endurance and profound training discipline fascinates him. So much so that he'd ask if you could teach him certain conditioning methods, even the painful ones. Learning something new, especially from someone he considers a friend, makes him genuinely pleased.
—It's difficult to coordinate your schedules, but Gaolang insists you join him on the rare occasions you share to do cooldown stretches after a harsh training session. He'd correct your posture with a professional tone of voice and gentle touches, explaining how you should do it to avoid damaging your muscles. And that's not even mentioning when he scolds you after you return injured from a dangerous assignment.
—As an activity you both enjoy, thanks to your diverse knowledge of martial arts and the like, you can easily end up discussing hypothetical combat scenarios, often focusing on Kure stealth tactics. He takes clan methods seriously, as it's not every day you find someone sharing that kind of information. However, he'd also talk to you about Muay Thai and boxing without hesitation.
♡—A typical date with him would be similar to Ohma's. In this case, it would be a quiet and private evening at a Muay Thai gym, which he'd request be closed or rented, so you could be alone together. Gaolang'd prepare a clean mat where you both can teach each other different techniques from your respective arts. Afterward, he'd prepare a simple meal to help you replenish the energy spent in the intense training. Your dates tend to end with him taking your pulse and gently touching your wrist with his thumb for longer than necessary.
♡—I'd say he's quite private about his personal life, aside from being a celebrity in his native Thailand, so he tends to be more composed in public, being much more affectionate in private. And yet, he seems to lose that image of serenity the most when he knows you're fighting or something similar, because even though he knows the Kure clan doesn't need protection, he still promises to take care of you out of devotion.
—Call me crazy, but I think Saw Paing'd be thrilled if you were part of the Kure Clan. Not for any specific reason related to brute strength, but because he genuinely sees it as the coolest thing ever. I wouldn't be surprised if he brags about it whenever he gets the chance, like a proud brother of sorts.
—The aforementioned training sessions—in Ohma's part—also take place with him, only in this case, it's much more chaotic, which clearly demonstrates his personality. He'd ask you to teach him the clan's techniques, shouting with excitement at the prospect of learning even the most dangerous ones in their arsenal. For obvious reasons, you'd refuse the most lethal ones you know, not trusting how they might end up; even so, he'd try to imitate your movements in the best of intentions… Although it wouldn't be unusual to see him crash spectacularly into a wall after attempting to copy you.
—Saw Paing has this vibe of a golden retriever on steroids with an insane energy. Add to that small details like his protective side, which means that for every person who insults you, whether passively or aggressively, he's already standing up in your defense with shouts before you've even had a chance to react yourself.
♡—Moving on to the romantic side, Saw Paing's very expressive, perhaps even too much so. Therefore, it's no surprise that he's so openly and unashamedly affectionate with you without any care about your surroundings. He's the type who would hug you from behind, squeezing you like a rag doll. He'd lift you into the air, whether you're taller than him or not, and then spin you around. He'd shout his love for you to the world, regardless of who's around. He doesn't care much about other people's opinions; all he cares about is you and his love for you, really—although he may happily present you to Gaolang if you two haven't met before.
♡—An ideal date for him would consist of something simple, almost typical, that would turn wild as soon as he had a chance to do so. He'd invite you for a stroll down a typical street lined with street food stalls, dragging you around by the hand, buying various snacks for the both of you, and loudly praising every bite he takes. Then he'd insist on taking a different route, mentioning things as ordinary as climbing a tall structure, racing down an alley to see who gets to x point first, or challenging strangers to arm-wrestling… You get the picture, right?

i'm not one to have a favorite something about others, because i change opinions easily. but, one book i adore with my whole being must be "hellsing". i've the whole manga in the collectors edition, and i can't get tired or rereading it.

Can you write about ROR Loki getting close to a human and eventually confessing his love to her, and she actually likes him back but gets upset at him and doesn't believe him because Loki, like the other gods, doesn't like humans, so she thinks someone like him would never like her, so she assumes due to Loki's trickster nature he is toying with her, aka using her as a punchline by pretending to confess to her (because, obviously, joking about something as serious as being in love with someone is awful) and his reaction then them getting together? 👀

loki's confession and a reader who doubts him
You never quite grasped the starting point of your friendship with the most chaotic god in the Norse pantheon. Perhaps "friendship" wasn't even the right word. To begin with, the mere fact that a god of his standing would show any interest in a human was unusual enough, but what was truly disconcerting was how that interest gradually bordered on obsession.
At first, you were just fresh meat for him, treated like a mere new toy to fill the void of amusement that plagued him day after day. You, poor thing, were open-minded enough to remain indifferent to his status. You didn't bow before him, you never treated him like a god to be worshipped, nor did you flinch or shrink when his shadow loomed over you. And that, precisely that, was what began to disarm him.
Loki would approach you, a sharp smile etched on his face, heavy with jokes and provocations, waiting to see you tremble or blush. And you always denied him that reaction; instead, you responded with wit, sarcasm, or such calm that you made him doubt himself. And when the sound of your laughter reached his ears for the first time… Oh, Freyja, protect him. It felt just like that time Brunhilde smiled at him, like a direct blow to a part of his chest he'd rather ignore.
He doesn't know how to love gently. His nature is obsessive, distorted and intense. And all of that extends to the feelings that haunt him.
Loki started looking for you "by chance." Writing about you in his journal. Appearing upside down above your head when you least expected it. Creating little replicas of you, studying every gesture and expression, as if you were a riddle he needed to solve.
And you, without even knowing it, had become his favorite pastime… And something much deeper that neither of you could name at that moment.
The confession came almost as a double shock. His reputation preceded him, and not only that, but his elitist view of humanity didn't help his case either. He didn't have to hear you speak because your face showed your consideration of his words as a cruel joke.
❝Why would someone like him notice me? He must be playing with me,❞ your mind kept repeating. Your thinking was quite logical, which led to a subtle anger slowly coursing through your veins. Things like that shouldn't be played with; neither you nor your feelings were a joke for his own amusement.
That's when he became genuinely confused. For the first time in his eons of existence, someone was accusing him of something he hadn't done. Soon, that confusion enveloped him in a dark, burning aura. His strong emotions were nothing more than cannons waiting to be fired, and your audacity had become a sudden target.
Before Loki could even measure his own words, he launched himself and blurted out whatever came to mind.
❝How dare you doubt me? Do you think I need to play with you for my amusement?"
Amid his outburst of hatred for being rejected, something in the air stopped him once again. It was a mere second, an instant in which his eyes met yours, and what he glimpsed in those depths, he recognized as pain. You weren't angry, you were hurt, and that was even worse.
His gaze, once overflowing with rage, lowered in unison with his chin. To prove it wasn't a trick, he did something he would never do, jokingly or not. Swallowing his pride and silencing his disdain for vulnerability, he finished floating, his feet touching the ground. It was a slight descent, but for someone of his stature, it was symbolically enormous.
Silence reigned in the room, deep and somewhat uncomfortable.
❝I'm not playing with you,❞ he confessed, his intentions now clear, devoid of any theatricality that had once accompanied him. And that's when you began to honestly believe him.
It was a gradual process, because when you finally accepted his feelings and admitted your own, everything about him seemed to light up. A pause of excited surprise passed over his expression, followed by a loving smile. It wasn't physically possible, but he felt how your simple smile melted him.
❝Ah…❞ He sighed, ❝so this is what it feels like.❞
From that day on, Loki promised a thousand things. He would protect you, he would annoy you, he would worship you, and he would watch over you with a devotion that no one would ever have expected from the god of deception.
