Home Sweet Home! A safe haven for Henry, which he has built all by himself and can look at with pride
…and perhaps Hans does visit him quite often to encourage him to go on adventures
this is so lovely 🥹🥹🥹🥹
Inspired by this post
In my mind Henry has always known he found Hans beautiful, it's a fact he fought with for weeks after they meet and especially after the baths, but i think the realization that it was love only came to him when he saw Hans about to be hanged in Trosky, it was only when he had a moment for himself after talking with Hans and going to nebakov for the first time with him that he truly put the pieces together, and oh you know a lot of guilt came with the realization
Now Hans... I truly don't think there was a specific moment things clicked for him, i think in some way shape or form he always knew he liked Henry more than it was considered normal, but he always assumed that it was only because of everything they went through together, he does says in the confession the story of the two knights has something he doesn't have his own words for, but he knows its love, it's more love than he knows how to properly express because this is the one thing he was never taught about, he didn't really grow up expecting to fall in love, he knew marriage would be out of duty one day and then Henry came
[no beers in] do you think im ever going to belong somewhere
Off on excavation tomorrow so chances are instead of bombarding you with random Witcher/PHM/Xena/Stargate/Hansry nonsense, the hyper focus will shift towards Saxon/Roman/Neolithic/Norfolk/Malting Complex/Daub/Enviro nonsense.
You have been warned 🤣

on the one hand yes. On the other so many British secondary labs look nothing like this because of the idea that classrooms should be as plain as possible to avoid mental overload and cognitive distraction .
Ryland Grace and his popularity as a character feels like such an important step in repairing the cultural tsunami left by the long running trope of every genius character needing to be an insufferable asshole to everyone in a ten mile radios about it.
Conversely, Eva Stratt is doing wonders for repairing and inspiring a appreciation for commanding women with dubious moral convictions who are fully willing to bend laws for the greater good without hesitation.
And together they are doing brilliant things by not kissing or hooking up even once.
you can tell a person is in a dark place when tumblr means a lot to them
well....shit.
every day i am thankful to ancient humans for the domestication of the cat. fucking genius idea. agriculture was a good one too btw but you really outdid yourselves with the cat thing
I mean agriculture could be argued at not necessarily being good *looking at you markers that indicate height shrunk after the Neolithic and such ..errr...heights weren't reached again until food increased availability caused by the industrial revolution*
Something something "hunter gatherers" have more "relaxed" time...something something 8 billion people...something something...capitalism...
But CATS.
LOOK. AT. THEM.
Wait wait what if hans is more bratty and moody in kcd2 as in comparison to kcd1 BECAUSE of henry.. what if it's not just that devs slightly altered hans and henry's personalities for the sequel..
Im watching the semine wedding fight scene right now and hans is like so very himself in that moment after being a little bitch to henry the whole wedding
And he has that kcd1 hans vibe to him again!! And henry too actually!!
So what if hans' change in behaviour and mood swings now that he's spending so much time with henry are just because of him
Idk does that even make sense
YES!
It's his jealousy and desperate attempt to try to lower Henry's status.
By that I mean he is jealous of people's reactions to HIS Henry...... "Oh. Shit. Why is he MY Henry. Why the fuck should I care what people think about my page? That's right MY page....my....PAGE.. WHO DOES HE THINK HE IS. HE'S A BLACKSMITH'S BOY... an honourable... Noble... Sweet blacksmith's boy...MY honourable...noble..sweet..handsome blacksmith's boy. Why am I angry at him? Why do I snap at him when he doesn't deserve it? WAIT. WHY IS HE IN TROUBLE?" *Runs to defend said blacksmith's boy with a stomach full of unidentifiable butterflies*.

Reblogging again because holy hell
Heyy, wanted to mention this again because i'm still going at it and posted the 4th chapter last night!
I'm writing a Hans Capon character study fic set during his time spent in Maleshov, which also happens to be intertwined with slow burn flashbacks from everything before that. I'm quite proud of it, I think it's my best fic yet and soon I will be wrapping it up after 5 months so maybe you're interested!
Summary:
Did they take them away for questioning? Godwin and Žižka were of noble descent, surely they wouldn't kill them. But Henry?
No, they would not kill Henry either. He is a noble's bastard, and, most importantly, he is Hans' page. They would be fools to harm him. Surely, they're also being held prisoners someplace else, and they will shortly get freed by someone coming for them, along with Hans.
Or: A Hans Capon character study as told through the time he spends in captivity in Maleshov fortress, aka Hans Capon the ultimate yearner.

I am utterly adoring this perfect Hans character study. The reason he was grouchy at the feast, the slow realisation of his feelings, the despair? PERFECTION.
