This time last year our landlord put the brownstone we were living in on the market to be sold because it was to much for him to keep up. It left us looking for a new place to live during the Winter, without consistent work. It was the first time that we'd have no roommate to help defer the cost of what the rent would be, which at that point was hundreds of dollars more than what we were comfortable paying for the previous 5 years.....Remaining faithful to God by tithing the money we had and praying for where he wanted us to be, we changed our perception to accepting this seemingly inconvenient "change" as an unexpected blessing. This year we celebrated Christmas by reflecting, giving thanks for our Savior' birth and thanking God for his faithfulness. We thank Him for increasing our work to have more than enough for rent, for not having to pack or box things up and for not having to search for a new home while strangers walked through our home looking to purchase it. Thank you God that we had the luxury of cooking, eating, and watching Netflix in our new home together!!! We're praying for everyone that is going through challenging times. May we all self reflect and try to change our perception, knowing that we're equipped for the challenge. May we see beyond the now, embrace the process and believe that the "uncomfortable" is only temporary!
