It boggles my mind that Deterministic was 9/2 going for his fifth straight win in a stakes race, in a race he won last year. That he won while also smashing the course record by almost a second. Some horses never really get any respect. He only let me down once, in the frickin Wood Memorial...though his run in the Peter Pan wasn't anything to remember either. But on turf....

If Arlington Park was still there do we think he'd have come for the Million? (Everyone say no, I'm still sad enough they ripped it down)

We were just remembering Honor Code the other day and now his granddaughter Counting Stars beats out Always a Runner and Meaning in the Acorn. Dark coats with flashy white markings definitely run in that family; Honor A P was flashy too.

Spoiled my Gun Runner exacta blast it lol. Nice race though. But what's with the small fields this weekend? Usually Belmont weekend feels like a bigger deal, though I'm excited to see Journalism in the Met where I wanted him to go, and for Deterministic as well. Kinda wish Burnham Square was taking him on, although I am sure that'll come eventually.
