Gameoverse: Appy Juice Break

I technically finished this back in June, but I just added the finishing details today! Cannot wait for more Gameoverse stuff in the future! The pilot gave us a solid and promising start. Felt like drawing my instant favorite Gobbles because he must be protected at all costs.

Turtle Katas

This is the Fū no Kata (or Kaze no kata), the wind form. One of the unarmed foundation forms, or one of the Sanshin no Kata, of the Bujinkan.

I just saw some of those illustrated martial arts guide sheets that show you the sequence of forms and movements. So I wanted to draw the turtles as if they were in one of those guides, I thought it would be fun to draw the turtles ninja-ing. I don't think I ever saw it done before, so why not do it myself. you can understand the movements a little better by reading the alt text of the first image, idk if I was able to describe it very well, but I think it's all there.

Thinking about it now some Splinters (the ones that weren't already a ninja master), probably learned martial arts from one of those book guides, so there is that too.

Intend to draw the other turtles as well. I already have some ideas. It might help me with my dynamic drawing, too. This one do look a little stiff 💔 I did the shortest one in the list for Leo, and what took me the longest was his knee brace (I regret nothing).

Okay time for A little Self-indulgent Yap Now:

As I drew this for my own enjoyment, I just had to give him a Hinged Knee Brace, I love my Leos with knee braces. I saw some arts of him with this type of knee brace before and I really loved it so I made it canon in my own head too. Donnie researched and custom made this one for him to keep his knee stabilized and stop it from failing or bending the wrong way as in my headcannon Leo sustained a parcial unhappy triad, so this type of knee brace should help him back up to train and fight, without worrying about making things worse.

He also has a lighter padded knee brace that he wears when they aren't training or on a mission, it's less bulky but don't hold his knee in place as firmly as the hinged one so he just wears it around the lair, when he is not doing any extenuating activities. It wouldn't be good for him to use the hinged one the whole time because it could cause muscle atrophy, and weakening his leg muscles would be really bad for him as a swordsman. Leo really doesn't like wearing none of it or doing the physiotherapy exercises, but he needs to do it if he doesn't want Raph or Donnie to like break his other knee.

I just went down a rabbit hole thinking about the turtles as athletes, bros could really benefit from a foam roller or something.

Like she’s been more associated with curly hair in recent G3 than she ever has been before.

How many g3 Clawdeen dolls actually come with glasses? I can only think of four, off the top of my head.

I really loved that both she and Ghoulia represented vision loss, but as time’s gone on, Mattel seems to have forgotten that about her…

I definitely miss the eyeglasses that came with the Clawdeen dolls. Headcanon that in g3, she always needed prescription lenses and her vision was 💩 as a human. In her monster form, the vision is better but she still would have to wear her glasses (especially when she's not wearing them for a long period of time).

There could've been the possibility that Mattel decided "let's ditch the glasses and give her contact lenses instead", but the eyeglasses can be fashionable and chic for Ms. Clawdeen.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAA this scene hits me right where I goddamn live, and it really does justice to both Gangle and Jax's characters.

Even though she wants to feel sorry for her because being abstracted is such a terrible and horrific fate to suffer, she can't bring herself to do so because of how terribly and horrifically she treated her. It shows that she knows that even a person like her doesn't deserve to abstract as some kind of punishment for everything she's done. But how can she feel bad for her for everything she's done? For how cruel and malicious she was to her from the very moment she entered the circus! And the damage it did to her mental and emotional well-being!

And what I also love about this scene is that it reinforces the theme that, despite all of the hurt that she's experiencing (even before she abstracted), it doesn't automatically excuse the hurt she chose to inflict.

P.S. Also love how Zooble is comforting Gangle!

To add, Gangle does end up crying for Jax after the others are successful in containing her. Zooble said it best when they went to check up on Gangle; she was feeling conflicting emotions. Jax was incredibly horrible to her, and from Gangle's perspective, this is a fate that Jax didn't really deserve. Gangle is allowed to feel resentment and sympathy for her, and that's something I can relate to. There are some people out there that I genuinely don't like at all, and if I hear that something bad happened to them, I do feel pity. I still acknowledge the bad things they did and how it affected me, but I'm not someone who wishes ill-will on some of them.

Didn't have anything really planned for my favorite Danganronpa character's birthday, but I thought of sharing this Soda x OC base art I made. It's meant to be shared only on dA, but I hardly use the site anymore and felt like sharing this cute ship art here. 😆 I'll admit that he does have some cute/sweet moments with Sonia, her heart has been stolen by Gundham, and I just feel like Kazuichi just needs a romantic partner that appreciates and validates all that he does (and also call him out on his flaws lol)

The girl here is my OC Kirika Sasaki, the Ultimate Skater, and I do ship her with Kazuichi (official ship name is Kool Kids or Kazuirika). My submission for this blog! Not surprised that so many people know Annoying Orange. I had a phase of this in the early 2010s, but fell out of it around the mid 2010s because I felt like ideas were running dry (and honestly felt like the same video over and over again; Orange annoys a food item, and they end up getting horribly "murdered").

I do feel like at this point, the series has overstayed its welcome, but I'm honestly happy that the creator is living her best life as a trans woman (also I like how Marshmallow is confirmed non-binary because of the running gag of them being this cutesy character and having this strange and bizarre background that no one seems to know or understand).

So yes, this was my YT brainrot back in the day. After watching the same two funny cats videos over and over again.
