While I'm posting pictures, here is my take on brozone and the pop sisters from my story "Eye for an Eye". As well as some group shots.
Bruce, Clay, Floyd, Branch, Poppy, and Viva.
I find it hilarious that I made such a big deal about putting them in outfits that weren't their canon ones yet i didn't bother going far off the mark with these guys. lol. Also, for some reason I tried really hard to make the brothers (except Floyd) look like assholes.
I also included Happiness Gems for these guys too bc they technically exist in this story as well, it just hasn't come up yet. I did change their shapes just so they're not mirrors of the other versions. Though in Branch and Poppy's case, I simply altered the length or width of their gems. Both Poppy's still have heart shaped Happiness gems, I couldn't think of any other shape that would embody Poppy like a heart.
For Bruce I kept his original style jacket, but gave him a floral pattern on his shorts to give him some difference from canon. I really went all out with the belly and chest hair for him, it was the only way I could make him look like a 'jerk'.
For Clay, I didn't give him his jumper, but I did keep the top part similar and simply gave him some shorts. I also liked the idea of him wearing leg warmers like Viva, so I gave him his own pair. Many other artists also put him in leg warmers and I liked the look, so sue me. All the bits and bobbles in his hair are courtesy of Viva (of course) and he doesn't take them out because of that. I don't know why I have him a pencil, but he has one now, he also has glasses that he wears bc he doesn't have access to contacts. And even if he did, he'd wear glasses anyways because they make him look 'mature.'
Floyd is probably the only one who's outfit barely resembles his canon one. I wanted him to look as sassy as I write him in my story. This is essentially what he looks like after he's freed from the diamond bottle, hence the pale spots and whitened hair. I wanted it to look like vitiligo, which I've never drawn before. Also for some reason I wanted it to look like he had lipstick via his spots and I don't regret it one bit. One thing to note is that when I was coloring Floyd, I had been under the assumption that his eye color was that of a sunset. I was heartbroken to know they were just purple!! So I said 'fuck it' and made them sunset colored. Same with my 'Secret!Floyd'.
For those curious, the stick was given to him by his brother, John Dory who grew it with magic. It helps him get around and if he's really exhausted it can extend to switch from a cane to a crutch. Floyd loved it so much, though his brothers were not so enthusiastic about him using something so... 'unpredictable'. But when they tried to take it from Floyd they all got bopped on the head with said stick and got a response of "Mine" from Floyd.
For Branch, his outfit is fairly similar to his secret counterpart, but I wanted him to look more fierce and feral to reflect his attitude. So I gave him a stake and foot claws bc he never trimmed or retracted them. He has a little color in his form in the shape of his earring and bracelet which are both meant to reflect Poppy.
Speaking of Poppy, oh god was she hard. Much like her secret counterpart, I had to draw Viva first to get an understanding of how I wanted her to look. I definitely wanted her to look more 'childish' compared to her secret version, but not like a bubbly airhead either. Her dress was fairly simple, the colors were hard in that I couldn't decide how I wanted them to fade. I kept her leg warmers in this version though.
For Viva I swapped out her cape for a jacket with the same green coloring. I did NOT want to draw that cape. Her hair was difficult enough!! I did give her some tights under her leotard bc I'm weird. The bobbles in her hair are meant to reflect the ones she put in Clay's hair.
Both her and Poppy continue to be the bane of my eyes and the reason I had to turn down my brightness.
Again, if anyone wants body references or the fanart I pulled references from, just let me know.
