I had better insurance through medicaid when I made 10k a year and when I was unemployed. It wasn't even optima or blue cross, it was freaking Megellan. What an absolute joke. The whole healthcare system being tied to your job is dog shit and a scam.

What impresses me about the Star Wars sequel trilogy is how thoroughly it manages to invert the customary relationship between the narrative and the lore.

Under ordinary circumstances, the on-screen narrative presents everything that’s necessary to understand the plot, while information presented in supplementary media is of interest only in terms of providing fun trivia and, occasionally, additional context.

In the sequel trilogy, conversely, large portions of the on-screen narrative have essentially no bearing on the trilogy’s overall plot, while much of the information that’s necessary to make sense of that plot is accessible only via Blu-ray bonus content, writer and director commentaries, social media posts, and in at least one case, a time-limited Fortnite event.

If you’d done something like that on purpose, it’d be insufferable artsy bullshit of the highest order, which makes it all the more striking that the sequel trilogy appears to have pulled it off by sheer accident.
