Post-Endwalker. Tsuna and T/hancred are on the main street of the residential district of Radz-at-Han. It's begun a sudden downpour, and so they playfully decide to run to their flat to avoid it. He pulls her along, however, Tsuna's leg is still on the mend and she trips over her feet not long after. Thancred skids to a halt to circle back and gather her off the ground. She's got an embarrassed smile and mud on her face, but is otherwise unharmed.
They finally find shelter under the awning of their temporary flat. The spontaneity and silliness of the whole ordeal has them doubled over in rare laughter, until he stops to rub some dirt from her cheek. She is gripped by the odd intimacy of it.
He kisses her properly, and for the first time. Her broken horns allow him this, and she doesn't push him away.
They rejoined the others just as Lucia started her debrief. Looks of worry mixed with reassuring nods met her as Robyn looked around the circle of her comrades, her gaze lingering on the mixed expression on Alisaie's face.
"Are you well enough to make your report?"
Robyn was startled to find Lucia looking at her, not immediately realizing that she was the one being addressed. She nodded, and took a minute to gather her thoughts before sharing what she could remember of the tower and of Fandaniel's plans.
And then, all she had to do was sit back and watch as her people did what they do best. Plans and strategies quickly fell into place, marching orders given and all of a sudden their camp burst into activity once again. Every bit of their small army ready to do their part.
Robyn just stood and watched, still lost in the whirlwind of her mind and the unsteadiness of her body.
"Are you sure you are up for this?" Y'shtola's voice broke through the noise as she slipped her hand into Robyn's. A lifeline anchoring her to the present. "With the talismans you aren't the only one who can face the primal. You don't have to carry the burden this time."
Robyn squeezed her hand and shook her head, "No, I can't...I can't sit idly by. I want to fight."
And I can't let him have the chance to hurt you too.
Y'shtola didn't look convinced.
"I'll be alright, I promise. I just need to get moving, let loose at our targets. There will be time enough for me to rest after we have stopped them."
"To stop them, or to get revenge?"
Y'shtola has always been able to cut to the heart of a matter, but Robyn didn't have it in her to deny it. "Why can't it be both?"
"In that case, I suspect you will be needing this." El approached them, holding Robyn's sword in her hands.
A wave of shame washed over Robyn, both from what that sword was used for and because she didn't even realize it was missing from her hip.
She held the sword towards Robyn, the blade cleaned and shining in the early morning light. "We stand with you, Warrior of Light." The title, usually a jab from the older woman, held a different sort of weight in her voice. "You do not face this alone."
Robyn took the sword, feeling its comforting weight in her hand as she slid it home into its sheath.
"El…thank you."
Before Robyn could get any more out, Alisaie came rushing up, full of anxious energy. "Ready to go? They need the infiltration team in place soon."
But Robyn needed one more answer before she could focus completely on their mission.
"How is she?"
That brought Alisaie to a stop, concern creeping back into her eyes. There was no question about whom Robyn was asking. "She has healed well and is resting. She should be back to normal in a few days." A pause and she continued, "more than anything she is worried about you."
Robyn nodded and set her jaw.
"Are you sure you won't see her before we go?"
"You said yourself there is no time." A flimsy excuse, they all knew, but the one she was sticking with. Robyn grabbed Alisaie's shoulder, turning her towards the tower. "Come, let's go and make sure he never has the chance to hurt her again, and ease all our worries."
Alisaie sighed and nodded back, "Aye, let's do just that."

Oh boy, a complex character who's a woman! I love messy characters who hurt everyone around them and continue the cycles that hurt them!! Can't wait to share this joy with fellow fans– why's everyone calling her a bitch
