and so the thing is, batman puts joker on this pedestal of being uniquely, brilliantly, and almost inhumanly evil, while simultaneously fighting himself every step of the way to find anything redeemable about them, anything to convince himself that the joker is human because his whole thing is that anyone can be saved with enough love and compassion, and he finds that proof of humanity in joker's ""love"" for him. he's only able to finally decide when joker dies, as an act of self punishment, that he could've been saved if only batman had tried harder. and so he shows joker one last act of intimacy that he never would've allowed if he were alive, not out of desire but as a way to harm himself.
and that is why, your honor, it was absolutely narratively imperative that batman defile his carcass sexually
