Warning, a little rant here, but I find myself annoyed when I see so many people saying stuff like "people only watch them for their NC's, BoatOat only act well in their NC's because that's all they care about"

First of all, as Hudson and Connor from Heated Rivalry has said "s*x sells!"

But also, I find it weird how if a show, book etc. has NC scenes it's somehow seen as inferior. Like it's something to be ashamed about or only watched for that, and it's as if people aren't allowed to like it, and if they do "it's only because of the NC's, of course it can't be anything else!"

It seems these people have forgotten or have no clue how difficult NC scenes are to successfully pull off. Proper direction, good acting, lots of trust and use of body language. Imagine if you had to do an NC scene alongside an acting partner with a bunch of cameras staring at you. It's not easy.

And since they're difficult to do well I applaud the cps who are known for doing them well, like BoatOat! They're clearly very talented and trust each other a lot. I also think their acting throughout the show is good in general and not just in their NC's. Cmon, be serious please! Oat's crying have me want to give Phatsa a hug and there's these subtle emotions in Nakhun's eyes.

Surprise surprise: the actors don't decide what the script looks like or the styling or anything else.

Also, I appreciate that we can now witness queer love and intimacy on our screens. There was once a time where a queer couple couldn't even hold hands.

If you're someone who just isn't into NCs that's totally fine! Everyone have their preferences. But completely disregarding the hard work of the actors...no.

Let people like what they like and appreciate what these actors go through to bring it to our screens!

Some thoughts after episode 4:

Fated mates is really of my favourite omegaverse tropes so im going to ramble about it bcos I'm living my best life rn

My theory on the what/why/how of Phatsa's heat given the in universe lore we've gotten + my own knowledge goes as such:

Why did Phatsa never manifest earlier?

Phatsa's secondary gender characteristics started manifesting after being in proximity with Nakhun, his fated mate. Either because that's how it works for pure omegas in this world or because the fated mate bond/attraction broke a seal/overpowered a medication/etc of some sort that made Phatsa's secondary gender dormant.

Yes, even if they hadn't met. The attraction is so powerful that it overwhelmed Nakhun into biting Phatsa, with what now know about him, it means that it's an insanely strong force.

Did Phatsa have another heat in episode 4? So soon?

My theory is that no, though I will highlight (again) that both omega and alpha idiots of this couple need some serious sex ed omfg. Nakhun why do you expect Phatsa of all people to know what a heat is better than you While heat could have possibly been triggered by hearing Nakhun jerk off (to the smell and thought of him no less), I think Phatsa was feeling the arousal through the bond. In fact, I really hope so, the possible situations this would open up...

Both soulmates and pure omegas are so rare in this universe that they are things of stories and legends more than real things. I almost expected Nakhun and Nakhin to ask "like in the fairytales you used to read to us as children?" When their mom brought up the possibility of Phatsa being Nakhun's soulmate.

This means there is A LOT of unknown and unsure territory about the bond between Nakhun and Phatsa. Which is so fun! None of them know what the fuck is going on :D

Could Phatsa being able to overpower Naphit's oppressive pheromones with his own be a result of the bond? Perhaps. At least, imo, it likely has some influence of it (such as how effective it is or how easily Phatsa can use the ability)

It's been established that the gender hierarchy of the Knot universe goes as follows:

Pure omega

Alpha

Beta

Omega

So Phatsa being able to solidly put Naphit back in his place during their pheromone showdown, is more likely tied to Phatsa being a pure omega more than anything else.

Speaking of Phatsa being a pure omega... next week, it's time for the golden goose hunt. Did I see correctly that Ongsa and NAKHIN are hiding Phatsa from Nakhun and the evil scarf man? If so, Nakhin will become my fav. This storyline is going to be really interesting but so so angsty...

I don't doubt that Little Jane can influence Big Jane a lot, but I wish he was capable of seeing that there must be something more behind all of this.

I get now why the title of the series is "Don't be too emotional". Little Jane is pretty emotional (and who can blame him?), but perhaps if he wasn't so caught in this emotional turmoil, he could analyze Big Jane's answer.

Why can't he stop now? Why did he go too far to quit? He is always getting hurt and making a lot of enemies. It can't be just for the trill of making contract with people and punish them if they don't follow it. I don't buy it.
