I need some advice. Or maybe just to get my feelings out on paper.

I am a lesbian and have long identified that way. But recently I have been questioning if I have romantic feelings for a guy. He makes me feel safe and comfortable and loved. Like it might be okay to open up and be intimate (emotionally). He is funny and I love watching him do the things he loves. I love when he shares those things with me. I like knowing what goes on in his head. I could stay in one of his hugs for hours and I like physical contact with him. But I am physically affectionate with my friends in general.

Is this just a really genuine friendship? And I am conflated romantic and platonic feelings?

Because I can see myself being emotionally intimate, kissing and being on top of him in a flirty way. But I find myself upset by the idea of sex with him. It’s like I need to talk myself into the male-organ part of it all. Like I could do all the parts of a relationship willingly except that. I don’t know if it’s because I am a lesbian or because I am just afraid of physical intimacy.

Could anyone offer any advice? Or share similar experiences? I’m so confused and a little frustrated.

The soil testing equipment on Curiosity makes a buzzing noise and the pitch of the noise changes depending on what part of an experiment Curiosity is performing, this is the way Curiosity sings to itself.

So some of the finest minds currently alive decided to take incredibly expensive important scientific equipment and mess with it until they worked out how to move in just the right way to sing Happy Birthday, then someone made a cake on Curiosity’s birthday and took it into Mission control so that a room full of brilliant scientists and engineers could throw a birthday party for a non-autonomous robot 225 million kilometres away and listen to it sing the first ever song sung on Mars*, which was Happy Birthday.

This isn’t a sad story, this a happy story about the ridiculousness of humans and the way we love things. We built a little robot and called it Curiosity and flung it into the star to go and explore places we can’t get to because it’s name is in our nature and then just because we could, we taught it how to sing.

That’s not sad, that’s awesome.

*this is different from the first song ever played on mars (Reach For The Stars by Will.I.Am) which happened the year before, singing is different from playing

I love all of the subtle atla references in the dragon prince.

Callum saying the boomerang feels familiar, the cactus juice drawing on a credits scene, Soren saying "yip yip" to get the dragon to fly, Aangs glider and Sokkas boomerang in the treasure piles of Rex Igneous. plus more that I've forgotten/not noticed.
