hii i woke up and got a vision beamed into my brain and made this have fun guys. UM, COUPLE NOTES: 1. Redraw is of the Pork Soda Cuptoast Animation I love Ribbun and Bunnydoll ONLY in the context of it being portrayed as toxic, bringing out the worst in each other, and not being romanticized. The same actually applies for Bunnyteeth. I think because of Caine's, Gangle's, Ragatha's, and Jax's coping mechanisms and flaws, exploring their issues and how unhealthy it could become in a worst case scenario is really fun, and I feel like nobody explores it as they're scared of romanticizing it, and the ones that do explore it want to romanticize it. There's no winning. Where are my people. I think the fact that Jax, when reverting to a mindset that inherently made him become an abuser to reject the idea of him being a..yk..her, causes Ragatha to revert to coping mechanisms she'd only really had (implied) around her Mom and you can tell with her behavior in the flashbacks vs POST-Kaufmo/Ribbit-Abstraction. I also think exploring the concept of Abusive/Toxic Ribbun (again, without the romanticizing factor) is really interesting. The "WHAT? She likes that I'm mean to her!" When Gangle clearly doesn't. But what if Gangle never got close to Zooble? What if Gangle was isolated, or entered a "romantic relationship/situationship" (coughcoughabusivecoughcough) with Jax, beginning to exhibit unhealthy behaviors not too dissimilar to Ragatha's? OR, Bunnyteeth, which would hypothetically flip the Jax-Toxic-Abusive-Relationships concept on its head, making Jax more of a victim (who lashes out, and gets worse), where Caine is unknowingly (for the most part) abusive. I think it could be explored not in the "Caine puts Jax through the torture nexus" but more-so of Caine slowly slipping into an unhealthy obsession, not completely understanding yet what it's like to really "LOVE" a person. Believing Jax is "the only one that CLEARLY loves his adventures!" And forming an unhealthy, possessive, abusive relationship with Jax in the process. I am pretty sure the Babooshka animatic by PsuedoVillainz explores a bit of this. ALSO, I originally was gonna do this drawing concept with Gangle and Jax, so if anybody wanted a GANGLE VARIANT, just drop a reply and say you'd like to see one or something. I'm not sure if anybody would like to see one, but I would like making one if that's something people would be up for. ALSO I am NOT a healthy ribbun/bunnydoll/bunnyteeth hater, but i do think they're cute only under specific circumstances (i.e. Jax having taken the healthy route instead back then). They're not exactly my cup of tea in the normal-canon sense, but I don't think there's too muchhh of an issue...? I think..? Maybe I'm wrong i dont know.... UM...
