it’s starting to feel real and i am trying to trick myself into thinking my anxiety is actually excitement

school is fine, enjoying most of it

being one of the oldest in the class and only 1/2 women in a class of 18 means i am immediately treated like their mom and i had a gaggle of guys (my permanent group for that class 🥲) following me around an airplane hangar like ducklings during an assignment yesterday

now i immediately grab one of the other 30 year olds in the class to partner with on things

i graduated in june, i work for an airline with siiiick travel benefits, with a great crew and people that genuinely want to see me succeed

truly one of the best decisions i’ve made in my 30s

in 2022 i became pretty severely agoraphobic after my dog past. vet med had my mental health in crisis, i lost my last remaining family member of my dad’s side, and i had to move away from my support system.

2023 was the worst year of my life. coming back to tumblr in september of that year and getting back into fandom genuinely saved my life.

i decided to back to school on a whim this time in 2024.

in just over a month’s time, i will have graduated. i’ve already had a job offer and i have a second interview with a regional airline on thursday.
