And that's the part that's making me lose my fucking mind.

We lost an entire section of the MAIN STORY.

The livestream literally told us Valko's release was going to reveal more about the Aethercore—one of the biggest mysteries in Love and Deepspace and something that's been central to the plot from the very beginning.

So now what?

You think they can just delete him and nothing changes?

Do people genuinely think you can rip out an entire story arc without consequences?

Everything that was supposed to be revealed through Valko now has to be rewritten, redistributed, or outright cut. The main story is going to have to be retconned. Future updates are going to have to be reworked. Characters may have to be rewritten just to fill the gap he leaves.

If you're celebrating this because you "won," I sincerely hope you understand what you've actually cheered for.

disappointed is an understatement for the fact that a vocal minority of parasocial liars essentially throwing a week long tantrum is what’s finally stuck.

im extra disappointed from a game standpoint because i know there was going to be a lot of lore added and explained with his introduction bc of his position that we’re now missing out on, and the potential delays in already long awaited updates that re-workshopping this change will cause.

also just genuinely surprised because at the very least, from a business standpoint, all the sunken cost for him alone feels like it should’ve been the last resort for them to do this and not the first solution, since they’ll never make any money back on him now.

last but most important, not only are the players impacted here, but this widespread tantrum and attempt to strong arm a company over a game is having real life impacts on the writing team that was hired for Valko, all the voice actors and cosplayers and motion capture actors for him, and an entire design and animation team I’m sure. so yay, you nuked the real world just to get your fake world to be exactly as you want it …

I can't believe that these people actually got their panties in a bunch over this and not the unfair practices of Infold.

Infold did this to themselves because of their inconsistent communication and updates and now we have to suffer by not getting wolf boy?!!

I'm fucking sick to my stomach. I wanted him! I was so fucking excited about this. He wasn't even launched and I loved him, was getting ready to pull for him.

I think this was the final nail in the coffin. I'm quitting LaDS. Idgaf about what's coming up because it doesn't matter really.

All this shows is that CN side can also be xenophobic because wtf do you mean Valko looked too western? Sorry but like, not every LI needs to be "ethereal looking"? They said he was too tan, that he looked gay, that Infold was supporting same sex relationships in the game?

Like wow CN. And the fact that Infold caved to their petty demands. It just shows to me that Infold is also xenophobic, colorist, homophobic, and can't stand by their own principles. I can't support a company like that as a brown player. I'm not renewing my aurum pass nor am I spending money in game anymore.

I don't know if I'll stick around for Zayne and Caleb because as much as I love them, Infold sided with CN (I get it, home country blah blah) but siding with them also means they don't gaf about theirs global fan base, many of whom wanted a darker skinned LI, one who was quite clingy and touchy feely, and was a wolf.

I hate everything about this and fuck everyone who supported this decision or made this happen. Hope ya'll are happy. All this does is remind me that if any of the LI'S were real and they were CN, they'd reject people like me because of my skin tone.

I would like to add on that removing Valko fixes NOTHING.

The real issues here are that Infold refused to listen to its player base. They didn't communicate main story releases. They didn't add bond stories for Sylus and Caleb. They didn't address future combat upgrades for orbits, AC, or Unicorns. But had the audacity to say they're releasing 4th myth banners.

What about adding ways to farm gold wish bottles? Or SSR materials for leveling up cards?

If they had addressed even one of these issues, the vitriol towards Valko wouldn't have been so bad. They could have delayed his release. Ffs.

Sylus and Caleb's branches aren't even coming until SEPTEMBER. it was all planned. Now with the removal of Valko there's going to be more cuts to the main story because they have to rehash it.

They also said no sixth LI will ever be introduced. Wtaf. There is no standard gold stella myth. We only have Lumiere and LSG. I was looking forward to that as someone who loves combat.

And even now, after removing Valko, they apologize by offering BLUE WISH TICKETS? Not even gold ones????? Wtaf. Take your apology wishes and shove them up your ass Infold.

What am I supposed to do with blue wishes if there is no sixth LI? All the standard wish pool cards are maxed out for me as a veteran player.

They shouldn't have even tried to launch globally if they weren't going to give equal consideration. Now watch as global logs out of their accounts and stops spending money. We know who they really want to cater to, and why they didn't add/fix certain aesthetic features in the game.
