1899 premiered on Netflix one year ago today and even though I’m still completely utterly devastated over the unrightfull cancellation I’m just so thankful this show got to exist in the first place. I’m so thankful that it got what it got even though it deserves more🥲

And I truly can’t recommend it enough! 1899 is captivating and thought provoking, with a plot that runs so deep and characters that are far more than what you see on the surface. It truly truly is worth the watch and will keep you guessing till the very end (and beyond because yk Netflix is shit)

So please if you haven’t yet GIVE IT A WATCH! You won’t regret it

I can’t remember the last time a piece of media moved me in such a way as 1899 has. Rewatch after rewatch, I can’t get enough of how there is always some new detail for me to find. The complexity and detail from Bo and Jantje is nothing short of awe-inspiring, and it’s led me to writing fan fiction again for the first time in almost a decade.

1899 doesn’t just deserve another season—it demands one. I sincerely hope that we get to see what happens aboard the Prometheus one day.

Cannot believe they took 1899 from us. We are an era where shows that are not instant hit are being massively cancelled instead of giving them of a chance. Dark was a hit after a while and it became for many the best show on the platform. 1899 needed the same time. It had the potential to have the Dark effect, it was in the top 10 most watched for weeks.

I don't think the show will be picked up or sold, Netflix owns it. Fuck them. Fuck this system. Spread some 1899 love.

season two filming is starting next week. i saw the cast moving back to Berlin. Lucas and Miguel are sharing an apartment and inviting the others for silly dinners where they play chess. Andreas is mentally preparing for the most heartbreaking loving teary eyed look in the cinematic history.

Remember that thanks to the #SaveDaredevil campaign, that show was revived. A lot of shows got saved because of fans fighting back. And we can do the same with 1899. - What is lost, will be found.

Bo&Jantje put their souls to this project, and so did all of the cast and crew. It's a shame that Netflix have chosen to cancel it, not seeing the show what it is, a wonderful mind-twisting cinematographic masterpiece with a strong scenario.
