It's not just about making beautiful clothing but actually making a positive and true impact on people's lives.

Today was an interesting day.. The way I’m feeling now is much different to the way I woke up this morning. I had a massive reality check. I haven’t been designing clothing like I used too, I’ve been making excuses of not having time and that I’m too busy.. The reality is that I lost touch with why I really do it. I’ve been caught up with life and the materialistic aspects, admiring luxury designers and over-priced goods rather than focusing on the true reasons as to why I love to design and want to make clothing. A simple thing that was said midway through conversation today reminded me of why I actually want to create clothing and be part of the fashion industry.. It’s not to create luxury goods and have my pieces walk the runways of Paris Fashion Week. My true passion stems from creating change; using a media platform and brand as a way to relate to mainstream markets building awareness about the importance of ethical production in the fashion industry. Creating a confronting, humanistic aspect to clothing that makes people stop and think before contributing to a never-ending cycle that controls, consumes and in some cases, takes people’s lives away from them. It’s not just about making beautiful clothing but actually making a positive and true impact on people’s lives.
