When I think about Mary, the Mother of God, I think about what an amazing woman she was (still is). I just image how hard it would have been to give up her life to God in such a way that no one would ever look at her the same. People would have judged her so much. I can only image how much hurt the would have caused her. But she new that God was greater, that he had a plan for her and she just had to trust him.

I also think about how painful it would have been to watch her Son being brutally beaten to the point where he could no longer stand on his own. A mothers heart would only crumble seeing even a glimpse of that. What would she have felt... If it were me I would scream and scream for them to stop... But Mary she knew God had everything under his control.

God really allowed Mary to Go through so much and yet she was s faithful. When we pray "Hail Mary full of grace"...I think it should say "Mary full of grace, strength and full of trust." She is truly a woman of God...

I was once told..

The difference between Catholics and protestants is that:

Catholics  say "Our Jesus, Our Saviour" - Communal

And protestants say "My Jesus, My Saviour". - Individualist.

Kinda makes sense...

 For innumerable dangers surround me. My sins overtake me so I am unable to see; they outnumber the hairs of my head so my strength fails me. Psa 40:12

When our sins are too much, we become blind and it hurts us and those around us. I experienced this recently. One of the biggest reason I went to reco (reconciliation) was because I could see that my actions were hurting others and our relationships.

Thank you God for that gift of reconciliation. Thank you for your grace and that brings us closer to you. Help us to realise that our sins only cause pain and hurt and that You are LIFE. Help us to gain the courage to recognise what we do wrong. Help us to always seek your grace. Amen

Do not be anxious about anything. Instead, in every situation, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, tell your requests to God. Php 4:6

It is sometimes so hard to trust in God. Sometimes we feel alone. But there is no better feeling when you can really lay down all your struggles and worries at his feet, knowing that He has everything under His power. Knowing everything is going to turn out just the way He has planned it.

Jesus, Help me to away trust in you and your ways. Help me to understand that you have a plan for me that you planned ever since before I was even conceived. Thank you for being there for me and loving me. Thank you for your infinite mercy that forgives me every time I fail. Amen

This Sunday I went to the first ever Ignite Live. I had an amazing experience where I got to shout out like crazy for God for just how wonderful he is. We were asked to write one thing that we would do from now on to change this world. I wrote "To see myself and others as God sees us; worthy and beautiful".

"The Catholic Girl".

Throughout most of my childhood and teenage years I was known as the "Catholic girl". I wasn't frowned upon or seen as different because I followed Jesus but more because people don't really know the views of Catholic church. They assume we're haters of many things but in reality we accept people for who they are. This kind of stereotyping got me down as a kid a lot. I started this blog not to patronize of force anything on anyone but to document what it's like to be Catholic today and everyday :)
