Why not an orca summoning? I think the Uzushiogakure would have a strong connection with them.
No one owes artists anything.
But existence is lonely and sometime you throw hours and hours of effort into a void, on the slim chance it will say something back.
『ITACHI WEEK 2026』
Greetings, everyone!
We are delighted to inform that we're back again with the newest edition of the Itachi Week. After two consecutive years of celebrating Itachi, this year, we expect the same enthusiasm and love for him.
All right hear me out! What about an au of kakanaru, BUT The Age of Adaline style 👀👀
Where Naruto first fell in love with Sakumo, but became they can’t age they vanished. Only is reappear years later to fall in love with Sakumo’s son (Kakashi)
And going with the plot, Naruto’s kid would be minato instead (since he’s older then Naruto, same how Adaline daughter grows older then her mother)
The drama is real, and I can see this for them.
But what do you think?
Read this and blacked out thinking of father-son wife sharing and all the drama of Kakashi finding love for the first time with Naruto and widowed sakumo falling back in love with Naruto at the same time all the while Naruto loves them both and they all try to navigate that mess
Don’t mind me just saving this brainworm for later…
coping mechanism <3
you know when you're writing a fic and you have a vague sort of plan that you're following, and then you're writing a scene and the characters decide to do something completely off-script and now you're looking at what you wrote and you're like
"okay well now what"
He just a baby
Oh my heart.
Okay, we got a new one, boys.
Close enough welcome back Chekov's gun.
Prev you can’t bury this in your own tags
I also like the idea of showing something as a problem before it’s shown as a strength. Almost every character trait has two sides, and by showing the “bad” side first, it sets things up to not only make sense, but to also be very satisfying.
I love it because it implies catboys are stupid.
How to Write When You Don't Feel Like Yourself
There are going to be days (or weeks, or months) where you sit down to write and feel... disconnected. From your voice, from your characters, from your ideas. Like the person who used to write your stories just packed up and left.
They didn't. They're just tired. Here's how to keep writing anyway:
Lower the bar (Until it's on the floor) You are not here to write something brilliant. You are here to write something. A paragraph. A sentence. A single line of dialogue. Movement matters way more than quality.
Write around the story Don't force it. If you can't write the scene, try: ⋆ A character ramble / journal entry ⋆ A conversation that won't be included in the final draft ⋆ A list of things the character would never admit out loud ⋆ A messy summary of what should happen Engage with the story from a different angle.
Borrow a voice until yours comes back No, not with AI. Read something that feels close to what you want to write, or watch a scene that captures the tone, then write immediately after. Not to copy, to reignite your instincts.
Write the emotion, not the plot. What is your character feeling in this moment? What are they afraid of? What do they want but won't say? What's being kept from them? The emotion leads, the plot catches up later.
Stop trying to "feel like a writer" first. You don't write when you feel like a writer. You feel like a writer because you write.
You are still a writer, even on the days it feels distant. Especially then.
I just think it would’ve been funny if
Shisui, fully aware he’s spilling Clan secrets but too tired to care: yeah there’s this thing called the Mangekyo. It’s the final form of the Sharingan, awoken only by extreme trauma. It’s very, very rare, and more powerful than you can imagine. If my clan were even to find out I told you, I don’t know how severe the repercussions would be
Kakashi, his ANBU captain: you . . . both have this?
Itachi: only Shisui.
Kakashi: can I see it?
Shisui: *lets his Mangekyo show for a moment*
Kakashi:
Kakashi: so that isn’t just like. A thing the sharingan does. Natural step on the life cycle
Shisui: *eyes narrowing* . . . no. Captain, have you seen a Mangekyo before?
Kakashi: *under his breath* in the mirror once. I thought it was a hallucination
Shisui:
Itachi:
Shisui: i wish i could tell the clan that the guy they shunned and refused to teach their ways accidentally outperformed all of them and then saw the result and thought it was a fucking hallucination
Itachi, mildly worried: the Mangekyo causes blindness. Have you been experiencing any of that?
Kakashi: *shrugs* I’ve been eating more carrots in case that was the issue
Itachi:
Shisui:
I've read a few recently published books, and there's this recurring pattern where if anyone does anything bad and interesting, they have to later talk about it in a way that makes it clear that it was a misunderstanding/ justified/ not their fault, so they're still a good person. and if they have a disagreement with another character, they have to therapy talk it out, regardless of their background. it doesn't matter if this is a street urchin with three teeth who just stabbed and kidnapped someone, you will get eloquent sterile therapy speak that will smooth out any possible emotional tension. and everyone asks for permission before they kiss, and waits for a clear enthusiastic yes. again, doesn't matter the character's background or situation, they will ask "can I please kiss you," because if they didn't, that could get all yucky and uncertain, couldn't it? and if a character is from a rich family, they will hate being in a rich family, and hate wealth signifiers, and actually be all for class equality. and everyone is casually queer, without thought being put into how that would mesh with the society that is being described. like yes, this is violent class-based system obsessed with inheritance, but no, it's not actually a problem that the child they've coldly groomed to take on the family mantle is unwilling to beget an heir because of gay. the parents might be terrible, cruel and fascistic, but they're not homophobic! I don't know, it just seems like EVERYTHING that could actually be messy gets sanded and sanded until it's smooth as a shark, but the Fun Violence is allowed to stay, because bloodshed doesn't actually bother anyone or have any consequence apart from your rogue character shrugging and going oops, was that me? the rogue is still a good person though. if you think they're not, just wait for the two solid pages of introspection. and yes they started the book by slitting two throats, but that was fine. they will ask permission before hugging you.
