New YOI Creator Spotlight #2: krimson_khaos
Introducing our next new creator: @krimson--khaos
She just published her first YOI fic at the beginning of May, so we’ve still got that new car smell here :) Krimson is a writer who is very outgoing and active on Twitter and speaks multiple languages!
I’m specifically recommending Krimson’s most recent fic Till the day he saw the music, which was actually posted today! This is a sweet, fluffy universe in which Victor was born deaf and struggles to understand others’ love of music - until he first happens to see Yuuri dancing.
What I love most in this story is the way the author describes Yuuri’s dancing. Often in fic this fandom likes to reference Victor’s line that Yuuri “creates music with his body”, but it’s much more rare for a writer to put in the effort to show us how that’s possible, which Krimson does multiple times in this story.
He commanded everyone's attention, apparently, for the whole class around him had stilled, just to observe those movements, which were liquid, like a stream of running water. And yet, they possessed the strength of the indomitable sea. In short, he looked nothing like those plastic, soulless singers and dancers which littered those music videos he so loved to watch. Those people might be beautiful, even the cause of Victor's fantasies on many an occasion, but now they seemed to unrefined and crass, next to this raven-haired angel.
