I'm positive this take has been done already but I'm still thinking about the fact that the last time Loki sees Sylvie in S1, she's pushing him away through a timedoor.

And the first time he sees her in S2, she's reaching towards him through the elevator doors.

It's a nice parallel (that they didn't really do much with – insert usual rant about S2 here – but), I like the symbolism about (self) forgiveness and acceptance.

I’m gonna be honest- part of me feels like they killed off Natasha in endgame partially to try and give Steve’s whole leaving everyone behind for Peggy ending any sort of credibility- because as much as I can’t see Steve abandoning everyone to run back to Peggy, I really can’t see him leaving nat

I mean let’s be honest I still don’t think Steve would actually leave everyone behind in the present (I mean he just finally got bucky and sam and everyone else back - esp Bucky after all this time - and then he just leaves??) let alone the fact that he’d suddenly develop a selfish streak and go back and screw up the long happy life that he acknowledged Peggy had without him in catws

Even if you don’t think there was anything romantic between them (even tho I definitely do lol) Steve and Natasha obviously loved each other and were very close and important to each other for a long time - especially after those years on the run and then losing everyone else they were really close to in the snap - I think it’s a shame that endgame seemed to undercut the importance of that relationship (like having him pull that damn compass again out of nowhere while he was talking to nat or implying that he left her to lead the avengers by herself for those five years like everyone else did) to make Steve suddenly being in love with Peggy again seem more plausible

Steve and Natasha were always a pair that shined on screen together and really brought out an intimacy and a humanity in these two characters that can sometimes be swept up in their larger superhero personas - I just wish we got to see more of that after and beyond those two Captain America movies

Still thinking about how Natasha came to Peggy’s funeral bc she “didn’t want Steve to be alone” which is so sweet and so telling about how much these two care about each other/how close they are by this point (not that marvel ever gave us much insight into their relationship - which I’ll never understand btw)

But here’s the thing- he wasn’t at the funeral alone

But Natasha came anyway bc somehow they both knew that he needed *her*

Quick little post-Civil War one shot.

I’ll never get tired of writing about Steve and Natasha on the run.

There was only silence, and with it, an aching emptiness that took root the moment he left her standing in the rubble of that airplane hangar, alone to deal with the fallout of her choice to help him and betray the Accords.

Steve knew she would argue that she didn’t betray anything or anyone; she simply stayed loyal to him, but that was just semantics. Natasha was a fugitive, and it was his fault. So, if he could find her, convince her to stay with them — with him — well, that wasn’t an opportunity he planned to let pass him by.

When she did finally walk in, 45 minutes and two cups of coffee later, Steve almost didn’t recognize her. Almost. He did a double take, and drank her in, from the toes of her scuffed black combat boots to the roots of her chin-length blonde hair. Natasha watched him from just a few paces inside the doorway, and when her full lips tipped into a smirk, his heart nearly stopped.

He took a few deep breaths through his nose to slow his racing pulse as she approached his table in the far corner, and by the time she’d occupied the empty chair he’d mostly composed himself.

It was around then that he realized she didn’t seem all that surprised to see him there. He had to suppress a laugh, because of course she’d been looking for him, too.

“How’d you find me?” she asked, already knowing the answer.

“Nick,” he said, knowing she already knew

Sam: You speak Russian?

Steve: No. I just know the phrase, 'this is all your fault' in every language Natasha speaks.
