how do you check if its bigotry because like 60% of bigots dont know that their bigoted opinion is bigoted unless someone else explains it

Basically you can break it down into parts until you get to things that are clearly from a bias. (Also, where does that number come from? I'm curious.)

For example: I really don't like getting blood tests. Why? Well, it hurts. That sucks. Also: I don't trust medical personnel to do a good job because of them doing a bad job in the past. Medical staff aren't an oppressed group, so I've satisfied my check for bias here. (Answer: I have bias because of past incidents, but it's not a problem).

Another example: (Hypothetical tumblr user you, not necessarily You You) You dislike a book with a transfeminine main character and author. What things didn't you like? Maybe it was a genre you like, but it did a bad job with your favorite genre trope. Check: Are you giving it the same amount of grace you'd give a novel with a man as the main character? If the answer is no, then there you go. If the answer is yes, then that can be okay! You can also at this point check if you tend to feel this way about transfeminine writing, or if it's just this one story. (Replace this with a different marginalized identity for a different circumstance)

So, yeah. Basically this kind of process is what I usually do. It doesn't make you doomed to eternal evil. Instead, you should consider if you've perpetuated harm and then do your best to remedy that past harm and avoid doing so in the future.

"oppression olympics" has to be one of the most telling phrases someone can use to dismiss a marginalized person's point of view. why do you view oppression as a game or aesthetic, and not societal forces responsible for the abuse of human beings?

for the lovely lovely deafies out there who want to get involved in direct action you absolutely 100% cannot ever bring a hearing aid or cochlear implant with bluetooth to any direct action. bluetooth devices all carry a unique signal that can be used to identify you if it's picked up at a direct action. go with a [more] hearing buddy and communicate in sign language. if you don't mutually know a sign language then come up with gestures. do not risk your freedom because you want to have your hearing aid/cochlear implant at the action. it's not worth it.

flock cameras are also now tracking bluetooth device signatures when you pass them. if you drive past a flock camera with your bluetooth-enabled hearing aid or cochlear implant, the flock camera knows you passed through

So this is false, actually.

According to DeflockILM, the cameras have Bluetooth and wifi capabilities, but aren't scanning your devices and collecting digital fingerprints.

This isn't me saying that your hatred isn't justified, and I'm sure as hell not defending flock. I'm just saying please, please don't take out/turn off your devices just because someone on the internet told you Big Brother is using your hearing aids to track you.
