“Why was the finale so focused on Jax?”

Because all of the other characters have already completed their character arcs and Jax is the only one left (FOR OBVIOUS REASONS). Gangle no longer needs her happy mask to be happy, Zooble is comfortable with experimenting with their body, Ragatha is learning to back off and be supportive when people need it, and Pomni has accepted her life in the circus. The only two characters left are Caine and Jax. So yeah, a good chunk of the finale is focused on Jax because Jax is the ONE character that has REFUSED to change and grow.

Iemme get on my soap box for a sec and say that tadc episode 9 was okay and I get why it focussed on Jax a lot.

Out of all the other members of the circus, she was the only person who we didn't know the backstory of. We didn't learn about it during the episode 5 bar scene or anywhere else. So I understand why they decided to do a post mortem deep dive into her past.

On the contrairy popular belief, showing a character who abuses others' backstory isn't necessarily a way to defend her bad deeds. Quite the opposite, Jax has been shown to be in the wrong in those situations. They are showing that it's her fault two of her friends abstracted and that the last person he was friends with distanced herself from her.

She was given every chance to get better as a person, but she didn't take them and ended up abstracting. She said that she brought this fate upon herself.

She is a bad person. The show acknowledges it, but it also was kinda logical that her backstory was shown at a point in the show.

Would I have liked to see other characters have more spotlight? Of course. I would've liked some more development for Ragatha because as she is, I have issues really getting attached to her character. But I get why it focussed on Jax.

Also, Jax is the second protagonist after Pomni. Come on. You really thought she wouldn't get some focus at least

Tldr, I get why Jax is a big focus of episode 9. the episode is not perfect and I would've preferred that they focus on other characters more. Her backstory doesn't excuse her and shows us that she is in the wrong.

(edit: 8 saw a YouTube comment explaining how jax's end is quite fitting for her because she died with a fuck tok of regrets and the realization that pomni is a better person than she could ever be and threw away her chances. I like that comment)

I played the game "figment" with my brother.

This game is underrated! It was so good and it's also very musical, especially during boss fights. It's a puzzle game tho, so if it's not your thing you're better off watching a playthrough. But if you like puzzle games, play it. I got the duology on sale on the Nintendo switch eShop for 3-4 euros

I don't get why the tadc fandom thought it was a good idea to harass gooseworks like that. This kind of person, who can't accept that a creator has different plans for their stories than what the fan thought, are the reasons that kind of fandom is considered cringe.

These people are shameful and give a bad reputation to the show and those who like it and I'm tired of these wars about ships and people getting pissy because their favorite character isn't a protagonist.

Deuteragonists exist and it doesn't take away the value of a character. For example, Gangle is a deuteragonist, yet she is very developed. So are zooble and kinger. Also, the series isn't over yet. So, ragatha will get her development.

I understand the disappointment that some people might've felt (as a Caine fan, my expectations are low), but reacting the way some people did is unforgivable and inexcusable. Bullying and death threats make you unrespectable

A random thought I had about the first Nanny McPhee movie is that the first two lessons she did could've been fatal to the baby.

First, she was catapulted and almost fell in boiling water which, I don't think I need to tell you, would've killed her if her siblings hadn't said please on time

Then, there's the rubella one. I get that it's bad to fake being sick, but at the time, medicine wasn't as developed as now, and rubella was a death sentence for an infant, heck, to any of the kids. Infectious diseases like rubella were one of the most common causes of death in kids and infants, no matter how wealthy they are.

Tldr, the baby is lucky she didn't die in boiling water or from rubella because of the lessons the kids were taught
