Strangers - Sylvaina post-Shadowlands AU, where Jaina has been tasked by Vereesa with delivering her letters to Sylvanas while she does her penance in the Maw.

Equanimity - Valadrin Professor AU (vaguely related to Inevitability), and yes, still in progress, I promise

Do No Harm - Mercymaker. I gave Overwatch lore back in 2017 when it had even less lore, but made it gay.

Two Rooms - Sylvaina. I said I wouldn’t write Sylvaina. Gave up three days later and wrote one of the first batch of Political Marriage AUs.

Falling - Sylvaina. I said I didn’t like Jaina Proudmoore. Wrote a character study on her that goes through Warcraft 3 canonically, but makes her gay for Sylvanas. Oops all tragedy. But now I tolerate Jaina Proudmoore. Please don’t complain to me about the sad ending.

In Good Company - Sylvaina. I made up for writing a sad fic by writing a massive mostly happy fic to give the gays what they want. Also to give myself lots of elves.

Vintage - Sylvaina. Me and the bestie UninspiredPoet wrote a very long modern AU because we both love 70s music.

Consequences - Sylvaina. Kids, question your judgement when you start thinking “Well, if I had to write a magic baby AU--like if someone had a gun pointed to my head, not that I’d really do it--I’d do it THIS way.” Because then you’ll do it and be known for it. I hated this fic so much that I wrote a sequel to it.

Fearless - Sylvaina. My favorite thing I’ve ever written is about a witch who fucks the ghost haunting her house, because I’m that kind of Halloween bitch. Fight me.

Hi Redisaid! If your favorite WoW characters (however many you want) had to be a different class, what class do you see them as? Bonus: would that affect their personalities/choices or not?

Hey there! My favorites have for the most part already been multiple classes or arrangements thereof! Lady Liadrin has technically been a Priest, then a Warrior, then a Paladin, so I'd hate to give her yet another job title.

I have long ping-ponged ideas for Demon Hunter Valeera among some friends, but it was never something I had the time or spoons to execute. I think that could be a real possibility for her if she chose edgy over smarmy/slutty for herself, but it would also be a big personality drift for her that would definitely make it difficult to write.

I wrote a whole fic about Jaina multi-classing, so we don't need that talk.

Sylvanas learning a little magic to do the same could be fun though...

You know, an interesting tumblr transformation that's happened gradually, and which I've seen no one talk about: ask-culture has essentially dropped off to nothing.

By which I mean, asks used to be WAY more of the tumblr economy. They used to be more common to send, and receive, and see. They were integral to the collaborative, forum-like behavior of old tumblr communities, not even to speak on the HUGE number of ask-blogs that used to exist to only be interacted with in ask-form.

I'm not saying this in a vying-for-attention way but instead in an observational way: I used to get way way more asks in like 2015, even with a fraction of my follower count. I wonder if it's due to the homogenization of social media sites? There's a lot more of this divide between "content creator" and "consumer" instead of just a bunch of peer blogs who would talk to each other. "Asks" aren't really a thing on twitter, are they? And as I understand it, the closest thing to an "ask" on instagram or tiktok would be a creator screenshotting some comment and responding to it in a new reel or video or whatever those content mediums are. Are asks just too tumblr-specific? Is that aspect of the site culture dying out as more and more people converge to using all their social media sites in the same way?

it's probably from assholes making asks a minefield of trolling/harassment for years with no real blocking ability, which turned people off from allowing asks on their blogs so as a whole the site moved away from it

but now that we do have better blocking, we should try to revive it.

Another thing is that I believe now you can only send a blog about 5 asks per hour, which I’m not ever sure something like this was stated as ever changed, but it severely limits the amount of asks one person can send to another. Ask culture isn’t what it was because you also literally cannot keep sending someone asks until the hour has passed
