i was reading slimeriana fics set in the canon universe (old and new works) and from what i've gathered is that there are many people mischaracterizing mariana. he's pictured as a bad wife and all she does all day is look for a way to cheat on charlie.

i know she's perceived to be cheating on charlie (especially with foolish) just because he jokes around a lot. but through their marriage, she has never done anything stupid. sure, he does flirt with other people (makes jokes about foolish which pisses charlie off) but that's mostly because it's a part of her persona, not because she's actually interested.

mariana loves charlie, just as she loved flippa. he wouldn't give up on him so easily. plus, don't forget the fact that out of her and charlie, mariana is more expressive and shows her feelings. she doesn't have a hard time admitting the truth. she doesn't hide behind the fact that charlie is her husband. he simply likes to joke around and tease. on the other hand, charlie isn't so open about his emotions which leads him to say stuff he doesn't actually mean out of desperation to get more.

phil doesn't do romance.

romance didn't really go hand in hand with his whole anarchistic slash fighter slash father persona. he rolls his eyes at public affection. he brushes off the friendly flirting from his peers. he's always at a lost for words whenever tallulah asks for a love story at bedtime.

phil never considered himself a romantic.

but phil does have multiple pages in a photo album filled with memories he captured at cellbit and roier's wedding. he does smile warmly and poke fun at foolish when the topic of vegetta's generosity and physique comes up. he helps the kids' put together gifts when the island's couples start having anniversaries. he does have a purposefully placed skull on his backpack for commemoration.

phil thinks about romance sometimes.

as he tucks away the armor that he had displayed for months for missa's return, he thinks about romance in his life. has he experienced romance? courtship? has he courted?

when cellbit and roier hold hands as a group of them walk towards the movie theater, phil remembers the times missa would grab his arm in fear when mobs would come at them. phil remembers how the touches startled him at first. the closeness, the warm squeeze of their hands, it was new. not unwelcome, just new.

when baghera plays her ukulele at a campfire get together, everyone huddles together and basks in her soft voice and sweet tunes. phil sits with his kids, his back rested against a tree trunk, eyes closed as he takes in the peace. he begins to reminisce about missa playing his guitar for chayanne's nightly lullaby. they'd sit in their front yard, chayanne and phil crisscrossed on the grass, looking up at missa who sang spanish melodies.

Chayanne's Skull Mask.

His mask was a git from missa for his "birthday", when they turned a week old, they went to kill skeletons together for the armor <tres.

Missa: "Son, is also your birthday today, so I have a gift for you"

Missa: "Now we match!"

Chayanne: "Now no one is going to dare (mess) with me"

Missa told him that it is still a costume so if something dangerous is about to happen he needs to put his good armor.

Philza: "Look at that look at that outfit you've got! oh my god! Did your dad give you that outfit?"

Chayanne: *yes*

Philza: "Cool, you look just like him"

After seeing chay and missas picture.

Philza: "Oh my god, that explains that, that's so cute, that's adorable"

Another day.

Philza: "I see your dad put you in the skull armor again, Is that your favorite now? Is that your favorite armor?"

Chayanne: *yes*

Philza: "Yeah, you take after your father in that respect"

When his mask broke

Chayanne: "My mask broke"

Missa: "Don't worry we'll get you another one, the good thing is that it broke because we used it, have that in mind."

Missa: "When things broke is because we use them, when they get old and they are just in a corner it's because they weren't used."

I tried searching for the time were he got a new one but I think he just made/found one and it was this time with tallulah.

Bagi gave philza a gift and there were 2 player heads one for chay and one for tallulah, chayanne was choosing wich one is better, he decided on the OG one because it goes with his shell. (imo it's more cute and everythime I see it I want to cry)
