Ruby tightly hugged Vriska back. There was this warmth about the small red girl. Maybe it was her cloak. She also smelled quite sweet, like a flower, or bakery item.

“People. There are also Faunus around.” He motioned to a couple, a Human and a Faunus comforting each other. “But yeah we can be tenacious assholes when we put our spirit to it. I suppose that’s our defining trait.”

“That’s why we just need to do what we can for now. We need to lick our wounds before we mount an counterattack, and that ain’t happenin’ for a while.” He glanced at her. “I still haven’t got you a drink yet. What’dya have?”

He sighed and leaned on the bar. “There’s nothing really to do. They move on with their lives, they try to cope and survive. It’s all they can do.”
