A whole MONTH dedicated to DISABLEDNATURAL! – an event to celebrate disability within the SPN universe, with prompts made by disabled supernatural fans!

#disablednatural will run from July 12th to August 6th to celebrate disability awareness month.

To participate, when Disablednatural Month rolls around, you can upload your work (every type of media is welcome: gifsets, edits, fics, art, playlists, meta/analyses, text posts, headcanons, etc) on any day with the tag #disablednatural and/or tag us @disablednatural !

the thing about dean smith and sam wesson is that they're still, fundamentally, dean and sam winchester! at their core! they are the same people with the same way of relating to the world.

and for sam that means that sam wesson and sam winchester are also very superficially similar people, because sam is very authentic, very genuine. he's a weird guy who talks about his dreams and gets up in his head and is curious about the world around him.

but dean...... core traits of dean's remain the same. he works hard at goals set before him, he's empathetic and people oriented, he likes everything around him to be just so, he's slightly hostile and suspicious (as well as doubtful) to things that surprise him or that he doesn't understand, he has a tendency to put his foot in his mouth, he's a little grumpy.... but he's superficially totally different because his most important quality is the need to perform a persona that pleases the standards of the society in which he finds himself. like, dean smith needs to be thinner, richer, and more fashionable, instead of stronger, manlier, and more promiscuous, but like. people don't go on juice cleanses of lemon, cayenne pepper, and maple syrup for their health. this man keeps a spare shirt in his office. dean smith is just as false and constructed (and probably just as painful to inhabit) as dean winchester, just in a different direction.
