Race - What is your favorite fantasy / sci-fi race (i.e. elf, gnome, dwarf, etc etc) to play and why?
This is tough. I absolutely love playing halfling, but I also extremely love playing the species Ryn from the star wars RPG. I would have to say halfling as I’ve played Tira the longest.(loyalty!)
Class - What class do you absolutely hate to play and why?
Funny things is, I’ve only played healer classes, Tira=cleric, Vai=soldier/medic, Maga=noble who went to med school. Out of all the available classes now in D&D, I am least drawn to sorcerer. Not sure why, but I like even the bard class.
Size - What’s the biggest monster your party has ever taken on? How did it go?
Hill giants are the biggest we’ve taken on (I think). First incounter was one wearing dragon hide (Tira def. didn’t cause this *shifty eyes*), we ran quickly from that one, although Tira took a boulder to the everything). The first time we actually fought them, it was against four. We managed to kill them, after being heavily wounded. Lastly, We fought a hill skeleton that a Lich rose in a ‘game’ he set us in. Luckily, it was only one out of the four he rose that we had to fight.
Speed - What’s your tabletop roleplaying game of choice and why?
D&D, straight out. I’ve only played AD&D and Star Wars RPG(SWRPG), so it is biased, especially with D&D being the most senior game under my belt. I’ve always loved fantasy creatures, worlds, and magic so this just fits me.
Initiative - Have you ever GMed? Do you want to? How come?
I have not, although I think it would be interesting. Being new to tabletop RPGs, I’m content on being a player. Although, I have been playing around with a rpg idea. Being a random-inclined individual I want to design a game that let’s you be creative while progressing the story (K, that’s like every RPG!). I know bad description.
AC - Tank / DPS / Support is my favorite way to play because….
Whelp! I don’t know what DPS stands for. Two of my chars have been combat medics. I enjoy playing cleric as a combination of tank and support (sometimes to tanky for my teammates as they lie one the ground watching their hit points drain.) So yep, be a combination of the two.
Willpower - Has your PC ever turned evil (either willingly or under duress)? What happened?
Yeah, ... I think. no... maybe? There was a dungeon we went into that had some fun statues in it. I don’t believe Tira was one of the one affected by the ‘attack those around you’ statue(wait maybe she was? She def. was affected by the ‘strip naked and worship’ statue). Other than that, the only questionable act that could be considered evil was releasing a vampire who swore he could help them with a demon.
Fortitude - Has your PC ever died (or come close to dying)? What happened?
Ow!! Too soon. Well, *spoilers*. Tira died during the last session. Don’t worry she’s alive and well, can’t tell you how (party members afoot). It happened during an Ogre Magi battle. (look for Game Time 3 for more info!)
Reflex - What was the worst accidental disaster that your PC ever caused?
haha! With Tira, there are plenty. Although Vicros trumps her. Let’s see...hm... The dragon hide Hill giant was only a disaster to herself (Vicros Helped). Probably, getting jailed and questioned by Claudius, because she was to stubborn and stuck with her story of not knowing Vicros(and later Qi Tef, she will allways happily renounce Qi Tef).
Strength - The reason I love / hate combat in a game is…
The thrill of avoiding death or the threat of death?... It gets the adrenaline flowing while your sitting on your arse.
Dexterity - What was the most daring / crazy / unlikely stunt your PC pulled off?
As equally as Tira get’s herself into trouble(and her party) , she can pull some worthy stunts. The one coming to mind right now is with the Qi Tef and his Thieves buddies in the caravan (check out the post I submitted to Tales from the Tabletop, it’s reblogged here somewhere.)
Constitution - What is your dump-stat?
Ugh, I can’t remember. (will update this. Left my character sheet at home.) I think it is a 12 or 11 and it might actually be in Constitution. haha.
Intelligence - If I had to put myself in a player category, the one that fits the best is….
definitely not theif or ranger. Maybe a druid, probably a crazed one who happens to know of the oncoming ‘apocalypse’. Or perhaps a barbarian, although a scientist am I, I have the worst vocab in the world, can’t come up with words, and are plagued with many grammatical errors (speech and writing). I’m also a large, tough cookie who underestimates her strength (I want to hug you, but you squishy).
Wisdom - What’s the stupidest thing your PC has ever done?
The thing with Tira is that she comes up with rationally intelligent ideas, but usually forgets something. That something is usually big and important. Example: We are in a wind dungeon and Allistar is blown to the edge. Upon seeing the paladin dangling for his life, Tira decides to use her rope. With nothing to tie it to and no time to try to place a stake in the rock floor, she tied it to herself, threw it over the edge he’s on, and ran-jumping off the opposite edge. The paladin quickly grabbed a hold of it in a ‘wtf is she doing’ phase, his added weight reversed the fall of Tira who found herself being pulled up. She successfully grabbed a hold of a ledge (rolled a criit) stopping their inevitable descent. They were saved by an elf fighter, past party member.
Charisma - What’s your favorite NPC from any game?
This is a toss up between the gnome in the sewers and Glorm the sexy hunchback. Probably Glorm, he is a my theme house’s original NPC at my university. He is incredibly handsome, so much so you have to roll a save against his natural charm. He is a high-level fighter/mage/? (I keep forgetting his third class! Nooo!!!). Glorm helped Vicros out in stealing the mirror of life trapping (although he knocked Gorbag out) and he also fended off the Drow bandit leader(on a chain mail spider) after the party was heavily injured and the army had yet to come.
Luck - What was the best tabletop role-playing experience you ever had?
My whole college experience which coincidentally is my only experience.
Sanity - What was the worst tabletop role-playing game you’ve been a part of?
Agai, only played the two. But I would have to say SWRPG. I don’t care for the healing system(I stick with it though). It is harder to heal and you take greater damage right of the bat in the game.
