which is worse: man who likes music or man who likes movie
you're NOT born gay, for the last time. you CHOSE that when you listen to chocolate by the 1975, colours by halsey and sweater weather by the neighborhood when you were 12 in 2015
there is nothing you can say that will make me stop occasionally putting a q tip in my ear to remove ear wax. i know the ear is self cleaning. i know it doesnt need to be done at all, and in rare cases where earwax buildup actually does need to be removed this is absolutely not the way. i know theres a risk of serious injury to the inner ear. i know there is no material benefit and it can only do harm. but heres the deal: i dont care. im fully aware and im going to do it anyway. im fucking crazy.. but im free
hey the fact that welcome to nigh vale and gravity falls came out on the same exact day in 2012 means something. not only that both storylines are geminis but, like, something cosmic. happy birthday.
This body is a vessel for my mayhem and as long as I can perform bafoonery it doesn’t matter if this stomach is flat or not
By Lynda Barry May 2016
it was really heartening to learn that the purpose of creating such a thick uterine lining during the menstrual period was to prevent the implantation of embryos rather than encourage them, and that our uterus is basically flushing out anything it deems unworthy during the period itself rather than “punishing” us for not being pregnant (which is how it’s usually framed). it’s almost as if your female body is more concerned with the protection and continuation of itself rather than being used as a procreative vessel.
the fact that we’ve come to accept the idea that our reproductive organs are punishing us for not being continuously pregnant is proof of how deeply patriarchal brainwashing has convinced women that we are nothing but broodmares for ‘their’ children.
This is honestly a life changing outlook. Thanks for protecting me uterus
Make-up can absolutely be artistic, but the difference between make-up and say, painting, is that artists aren’t expected to all paint the same standardised picture before leaving the house every day just to be treated with respect.
My point is, I can’t accept the blanket statement that makeup isn’t a form of art when stuff like this exists:
But at the same time, accepting make-up as an art form should not mean treating it as above criticism. The culture surrounding make-up is still toxic, and no amount of intricate and creative uses for cosmetics can justify the horrendous expectations society places on women (and ever younger girls) to spend hours of their lives making their faces look more ‘attractive’.
The fact that some people of various genders enjoy experimenting with make-up should not discourage us from working to destroy the pressure for women to cosmetically ‘correct’ their natural faces.
starting to think one direction: this is us (2013) might not win best picture at the oscars
This post gets funnier every year
i don’t wanna reblog that gifset of kate winslet freezing her ass off in titanic but she actually got double pneumonia from filming those scenes without a wetsuit. and all bc james cameron wanted the fabric to be see through when wet. when’s the final straw when do we snap and kill every man
Didn’t they film this ish on a set though..? Couldn’t they have just… heated the water?
But then her nipples wouldn’t have been hard. Please be considerate of male heterosexuality and entitlement whenever you’re trying to rationally prevent a woman from getting an avoidable illness in her workplace. Thanks.
a very stupid english teacher: the widow wore a black dress to the funeral because a black dress symbolizes mourning
the very smart student who knows better: lol the author just gave her a black dress because he felt like it. colors never symbolize anything :)
symbolism is cowardly if you want to say something say it directly so that everyone can understand
Me reading Moby Dick: this Melville bastard is a coward, why doesn’t he have Ahab fight the abstract concept of man’s inability to conquer nature
there is carnival music faintly playing somewhere in my house.
i’ve walked through the whole place and can’t find a source
it isn’t louder in any one spot
it is just evenly, eerily faint
carnival
music
everywhere
