I will get over it, it is a TV show and at this point I'm too fandom old to really let it bother me for a really long time.

It is just incredibly insulting to the actors, set designers, costumers, camera people, and everyone involved in making that show that so clearly put their heart and soul into it.

And for it to have been cancelled just as things were really getting started. We didn't end in satisfying places- we don't get to see what happens with Perrin, how Mat's memories were affected, how Elayne approaches learning about Rahvin, Rand leading the remaining Aiel, the WHOLE FUCKING FALLOUT OF SIUAN'S DEATH- there were so many hanging threads that still needed to be accounted for, things that were so clearly being set up.

I'm so mad at Amazon and disappointed for everyone who put everything into it. I don't know what is going to happen, whether Amazon might change their minds or if another platform takes over (I'm not optimistic about either outcome, but who knows), but I am deeply grateful to all the people who worked on it, and I will cherish what we did get.

So these are both “Aw Fuck I’m outta real food” meals BUT ALSO:  if you’re learning how to cook, these are great “baby steps” meals to learn how to cook basics into something enjoyable without “wasting” anything expensive.  Though I maintain that even cooking screw-ups are valuable in terms of lessons learned.

Also they’re great for when you get absorbed in something and you realize your blood sugar is dropping and you need to make something Quick.

An empty idealogical gesture that doesn’t make anything better, let alone even engage in harm reduction, is not leftism.

Especially if they think there’s nothing that can be done that will make a difference, so they’re just planning to make empty idealogical gestures until circumstances get bad enough that someone else gets forced to start a revolution for them because if they were going to do it instead of ranting about how useless voting is they’d have tried it already.

That’s not leftism and I will never shut up about how that’s not leftism. Because leftism is not about dying an honorable death on a hill that’s stupid.

Just looked at a blog where the header description said 'sometimes I reblog posts I like so I don't forget them'.

And I feel like that, right there, explains so much about how the site has changed in the last few months.

People now think reblogging is an unusual behaviour, rather than a default.

Tumblr newbies, please, for the love of baby Jesus, reblog the posts you like. That is the whole reason the site exists - for you to collect all your shiny fandom objects in a single space. Which you can organize to your heart's content. Or not organize at all, if that's your jam.

Our blogs are intended to be collections of posts, not collections of likes.

Liking does absolutely nothing. There is no algorithm like on IG that will use likes to throw content at people. If you don’t reblog, then no one who doesn’t follow that person (or happen to find it in the tags) will see that post.

Tumblr is supposed to be your bookcase where you show off all of your pretties: the posts you like and the ones that you want to promote to support the other creators in your fandom/community.

i have to be real i fucking hate that post. im dead serious. i do not like that its being circulated around again because its always just been an in for people to be ableist to me about a brain condition that i cant help. the person who declared it a 'world heritage post' did so without my permission and i just attempted to contact them to get their reblog of it removed. i wish they had contacted me beforehand because now im just getting more people in my inbox making fun of me for my inability to be coherent. it is extremely insulting.

like theres a reason i deleted the original post. i didnt want anyone to reblog it anymore. i had people literally going out of their way to laugh at me for my 'funny brain condition' and i was getting sick and tired of this. i have stated i dont appreciate this post getting spread around, like i dont know. it has to be at least five times now. and still it follows me everywhere. my aphasia isnt a joke. i didnt realize i had it at the time. dont reblog that post anywhere if you see it in the wild for my own safety and mental wellbeing.
