REALER WORDS HAVE NEVER BEEN SPOKEN
I would like to give Daniel Sharman all the flowers in the garden for his Clockwork Princess narration, especially for his narration of Will. The way he had Will slipping in and out of a Welsh accent depending on who he was talking to and how stressed or comfortable he was in a situation was EXQUISITE. The way his accent became so strong when he was talking to Cecily or he was feeling particularly anxious, but then when he was talking softly to Tessa or in front of the Council it was more British than Welsh... Yeah. Like it was just done so intentionally in a way it wasn't explicit in the text, it really gave you this extra insight into his character. It was fantastic.
Ok but why was one of Mark Blackthorn's go-tos with Will Herondale to joke about ducks? 😆
(My Mark wears mostly regular clothes, but is always in bare feet, and this is his party outfit)
i think about this at least once a week.
to be clear I am not mocking his dyslexia, this phrase just gets stuck in my head and makes me smile
all of these ALSO coexist, specially in a p!nk concert

Dropping the latest Sketch-a-Wish, voted on by my lovely Patreon members for the month of February! (Still behind, but catching uuuup) Featuring Will and Tessa from the Infernal Devices by Cassie Clare, precariously sneaking a smooch before the inevitable plot interruption!
Gosh there so much detail on her dress that's being covered up by the balcony rail, but perfectly set up for a possible animated version - always good to have that prepped!
My favorite thing about Mark is that he's just fucking weird.
Rip Anthony Stewart Head.
Here's an amazing story about him that I read years ago and never forgot.
I'd hoped to meet him at a convention, myself, one day.

Not gonna lie, the death of Anthony Stewart Head hurts.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer was such an influential show for me as a teenager. Giles was the father figure many of us who loved the show wished we had.
Even after Buffy, ASH was in so many other shows I loved including Doctor Who, Merlin, and recently in Ted Lasso. It felt like ASH was such a presence in fandom and we were so lucky to have him.
Rest in Peace friend. Thank you for all the amazing roles you gave us 💛💛💛

Whenever things feel really dark, I like to imagine that somewhere in the world, someone's corny dad is attempting Take On Me at karaoke. He goes for the high note (yes, that high note). He fails exquisitely and has never been happier or more amused.
Imaginary, dorky karaoke dad gives me hope.
The world's on fire. Do whatever the fuck gives you a smidgen of joy.
how are you gonna be 31 and posting fandom content bro leave it to the teenagers
People 10 and 20 years older than me are writing your favorite fanfics, and drawing your favorite characters. You'd have no fandom without the people you think are 'too old' to have hobbies.
This mentality is so insanely frustrating. Why do teenagers think that people have to give up their hobbies, give up fun, when they reach a certain age? Like??
When I was a teenager writing fic, I remember finding out that one of my favorite authors was in her 50s and that just was SUCH a revelation for me!! What do you mean, 50 year olds can write fanfic?!? Does that mean I can write fics when I'm her age?? That's AWESOME! I seriously looked up to her so much. And now I'm 35 with a husband and kid, and I'm still writing fanfic and posting fandom content - and I have no plans of stopping!
If you try to drive 30+ people out of fandom, you're going to lose the backbone of said fandom!
The ageism in fandom is fucking insane. It’s strange that people seem to have the idea that fandom was created by and for teenagers… It was not. It was created by adults. How would we have ao3 if only teenagers were in fandom?
I don’t want to sound like I am hating on younger people in fandom, but god, y’all need to stop it with the ageism. You don’t have to give up what you love once you’re an adult. Honestly, the belief that you have to is pretty bad. It sounds like it would make people afraid of aging. Granted, modern society is so very afraid of aging.
Don’t give up what you love just because you’re an adult. You don’t have to. And don’t try to force others to do it either.
Look, just because you’re not aware of the adults in your life having hobbies doesn’t mean that they don’t. Your mom’s secretly been writing smut since before you were born. She hangs out on Discord with her friends and talks about Fourth Wing and Heated Rivalry. She actually has an AO3 account and a Tumblr you’re not even aware of.
Adults are complicated humans.
my mum has an ao3 account (just a reader tho), a tumblr blog, and a discord - she's also subscribed to a patreon and we've literally taken trips for her fave podcast's live shows
my dad has a statue of gollum in my parents living room and a map of middle earth used to hang over their dining table (where we ate every meal) - he was abolutely involved in fandom culture as a teen and probably is now on reddit
my parents are fandom nerds and i'm very aware - hell i've sent my mum ao3 fics before many a time
if you think adults aren't involved in fandom culture - you're just wrong
(also some of the coolest people i've met online are over 30 and i hope that i get to be that fandom elder for someone one day because so many people have supported me over the years)
