i'm all that's left. well, me and these unusable puzzle pieces. these snippets, cast as past lives, and perilous seas. my conceit, sprinkled with stardust.

what is it about a blank page, that troubles me so. where do all of these words come from? more importantly, where do they go. a bit or a byte. a feeling converted into a digital signature, as blank as my expression, and half as legible.

no man is an island because, if you go deep enough, islands are all connected to the earth's crust. unless you're a floating island made of ice but even then you're just ice floating on unfrozen water. water on water – so are you really an island. maybe if you're a boat or floating platform. considering the temperature of the universe, vacuum and all, water probably mostly exists frozen or as individual molecules floating in space. I really should fact-check things. now, regarding those one set of footprints in the sand...

Catalina Island California 4/25

We stayed at Hamilton Cove near Avalon. It is a walk steep up to Hamilton condos which is a large complex so I would recommend getting a ride. We started the walk from Avalon and were lucky that a kind woman in a golf cart took pity on us and gave us a lift. There are many stairs so something to consider if you don't do stairs well and are thinking of staying here.

Abusive girls exist and what they’re doing is seen as like “badass tough don’t take no shit” but your girl should not hit you. Ever.

She should not demand for you to hand over your phone to look through.

She should not yell at you and humiliate you either alone or in front of people.

She shouldn’t make you distance yourself from your friends or family.

She shouldn’t scratch you or twist your arms.

She should not call you names.

She shouldn’t tell you ‘she’ll kill herself if you break up’

These are just a few examples of abuse and it’s just seen as okay when girls do it and god knows I’ve fallen victim to it a few times, but you shouldn’t have to.

Never worry about not being in a relationship. If they’re worth it, they won’t hurt you.

No one has the right to hurt you.
