We all love things. They may not define us, but they help shape our lives and fill our hearts with joy and excitement. I love video games. I know that’s far from unique, but since 1983 when I played my first it’s been an unshakable love that has never faltered. As time passes we enjoy many games but there are some that stick with us intensely. They mold our future expectations by raising the bar and giving us amazing feelings for the first time. The Super Mario Bros did that for a great many of us. 30 years ago today they took their first leap into our lives, our living rooms, our memories, and our very souls. I’m so thankful for 30 years of fun, laughter, friendhip, and holding the B button to run. Your princess may be in another castle Mario… but we’re all with you for every step.
BREAK TIME: Box & manual highlights of Imagineer’s idol-riffic Kieta Princess.
Like the two other titles in Imagineer’s WaveJack series of Famicom Disk games, it cost significantly more than comparable FDS titles but included a large storybook, audio cassette containing tips in mostly musical form, and in this case a handy little detective notebook & map/poster of Yasuko Tomita. As talent tapped for these WaveJack titles go, she seems to have went on to find the most success. Full scan is available here, along with others we’ve posted.
