Neurologist Phil Kennedy, a neuroscientist on the forefront of brain machine interfaces, underwent surgery to have electrodes placed in his own brain.

Since the patients that normally undergo this kind of procedure are very sick, he decided to do it himself to get some extremely valuable data. He had complications and was only able to do a few weeks of testing on himself.

That is some serious dedication to science… Any other volunteers? I’m for science just as much as the next person but I’ll probably opt out of this particular study.
