My life is enriched by knowing that rug guns exist.
I would be unstoppable if not for the problems
the ACLU be like
*filmed child rape. They openly the support the decriminalization of viewing explicit images and videos of children under the guise of privacy within your own home. I can understand some of their questionable legal defenses from the perspective of how the law works however, this one it’s just to protect predators. Obscenity is not a protected speech within our constitution and the viewing, producing, and possession of child pornography is against the law for harm to children not as an issue of censorship. ALCU is trash, and no good they’ve done can redeem them from supporting child rape.
Some examples of the ACLU defense of child porn:
1997– Reno v. American Civil Liberties Union was a landmark decision of the US Supreme Court unanimously ruling that anti-indecency provisions of the 1996 Communications Decency Act (CDA) violated the First Amendment’s guarantee of freedom of speech. (x)(x) The CDA imposed criminal sanctions on anyone who knowingly (A) uses an interactive computer service to send to a specific person or persons under 18 years of age, or (B) uses any interactive computer service to display in a manner available to a person under 18 years of age, any comment, request, suggestion, proposal, image, or other communication that, in context, depicts or describes, in terms patently offensive as measured by contemporary community standards, sexual or excretory activities or organs. (x)
2003– The American Civil Liberties Union today welcomed a federal appeals court ruling that a law meant to safeguard children against Internet pornography would block lawful and valuable speech for adults. (x)
2010– The ACLU of Delaware wrote: “The ACLU does not support pornography or child porn. However, we do oppose virtually all forms of censorship. Possessing certain books or films, even pornographic ones, should not make one a criminal. Once society starts censoring ‘bad or offensive’ ideas, it becomes very difficult to draw the line. As the saying goes, ‘one man’s art is another man’s pornography.’ As for child pornography, the ACLU supports the right of the government to prosecute the makers of child pornography for exploiting minors.” (x)
(This one isn’t pornography but is just a nice bonus) 2000– The American Civil Liberties Union of Massachusetts has decided to defend a group that advocates legalization of sex between men and boys in a $200 million federal lawsuit brought by the family of a murdered boy. […] Mr. Roberts and other A.C.L.U. officials said Nambla [North American Man/Boy Love Association] did not advocate the rape and murder of children. It advocates changing the law to make sex between men and boys legal, and political advocacy, Mr. Roberts said, is protected speech. (x)
On revenge porn:
2014– “A new Arizona law making ‘revenge porn’ illegal is so broad it criminalizes booksellers, artists, news photographers and even historians and is therefore unconstitutional, the American Civil Liberties Union of Arizona said in a federal lawsuit filed Tuesday. The civil rights group said the law can make any person who distributes or displays a nude image without explicit permission guilty of a felony. The group says that violates the First Amendment.” (x) Said law, Arizona House Bill 2515, stated “It is unlawful to intentionally disclose, display, distribute, publish, advertise or offer a photograph, videotape, film or digital recording of another person in a state of nudity or engaged in a sexual act if the person knows or should have known that the depicted person has not consented to the disclosure.” (x)
On laws that would allow recourse for rape porn victims:
1988– The ACLU sues Bellingham, Washington for passing Andrea Dworkin and Catharine Mackinnon’s Antipornography Civil Rights Ordinance that defined pornography as a civil rights violation against women, and allows women who had been harmed by pornography to sue the producers and distributors in civil court for damages. (x) As Dworkin described it, “Under this law, it is sex discrimination to coerce, intimidate, or fraudulently induce anyone into pornography; it is sex discrimination to force pornography on a person in any place of employment, education, home, or any public place; it is sex discrimination to assault, physically attack, or injure any person in a way that is directly caused by a specific piece of pornography—the pornographers share responsibility for the assault; in the Bellingham version, it is also sex discrimination to defame any person through the unauthorized use in pornography of their name, image, and/or recognizable personal likeness; and it is sex discrimination to produce, sell, exhibit, or distribute pornography.” (page xxxii) Additonally, Nadine Strossen, president of the ACLU from 1991-2008, wrote against Mackinnon and Dworkin extensively in her 1995 book “Defending Pornography” (excerpt here) and in 2006 wrote that “These [Dworkin-Mackinnon Antipornography Ordinance] laws are so vague and sweeping that they endanger all expression with any sexual content, including expression that is especially valuable to women, sexual- orientation minorities, and advocates of their rights.” (page 57)

Man, the closest to a ‘golden age’ of being a homosexual must have been the late 2000′s, early 2010′s…I remember being a young teen going through the realization that I was gay and going online to spaces where it was actually okay in their eyes to be a homosexual.
So many YouTubers who were based around serious and light-hearted discussions about being lesbians really helped me, as well as seeing gay men express themselves since that helped me learn more about the LGB community. I felt like things were looking up for us and that even though being gay was different and could sometimes be scary, there would always be this community to back each other up. It was going to be okay to be a gender non-conforming lesbian, because the older women I saw on my laptop screen were trying to make it so.
And then in about 2015-2016, something shifted right before my eyes. It’s not like the trans community didn’t exist before - I knew them well enough, and was 100% supportive of them, but they had grown much louder. I think the most damning thing for me personally was watching all the lesbian idols I had come to know on places like YouTube started coming out as trans men or nonbinary. I couldn’t help but feel a bit disappointed each time, even though I had been taught by now that this feeling of disappointment was “transphobia”. These were my role models, my only connection to gender non-conforming females since I lived in a small conservative town in the armpit of Florida.
I tried to be supportive all the same, even though it seemed like every day those channels I watched or blogs I read started to disappear or change themselves to being about exclusively trans topics. It was like these people thought that the legalization of gay marriage in America was the end-all to oppression or issues for homosexuals, and so they had to move on to the next thing. I felt frustrated, but also pressured to joining the bandwagon, accepting that trans people were the oppressed now, and “cis” gay people had power over them even if it didn’t make much sense to me.
I wish I could go back to those times. Most libfems and tras really think that because gays can marry now and sometimes commercials on TV will show a gay couple, they don’t need to care about us anymore. But I’m still here. There’s plenty of people still here. This is a very America-centered post as well, since I’m sure the experience of anyone outside of it may be different, but my personal experience really opened my eyes to the trans community and their ‘allies’. Greedy consuming erasers.
we probably lost a lot of medical knowledge during the witch hunts because of how many mid wives were persecuted, and how men took over the field of medicine. I bet a few hundred years ago a mid wife might actually have some kind of knowledge about conditions that affect women exclusively which we still haven’t bothered to research in our modern society.
ok now I’m fucking mad
how many got killed cuz of witch hunts seems like youd have to kill a lot
“It is estimated that at least 1, 000 were executed in England, and the Scottish, Welsh, and Irish were even fiercer in their purges. It is hard to arrive at a figure for the whole of the Continent and the British Isles, but the most responsible estimate would seem to be 9 million. It may well, some authorities contend, have been more. Nine million seems almost moderate when one realizes that The Blessed Reichhelm of Schongan at the end of the 13th century computed the number of the Devil-driven to be 1,758,064,176. A conservative, Jean Weir, physician to the Duke of Cleves, estimated the number to be only 7,409,127. The ratio of women to men executed has been variously estimated at 20 to 1 and 100 to 1. Witchcraft was a woman’s crime.
Men were, not surprisingly, most often the bewitched. Subject to women’s evil designs, they were terrified victims. Those men who were convicted of witchcraft were often family of convicted women witches, or were in positions of civil power, or had political ambitions which conflicted with those of the Church, a monarch, or a local dignitary. Men were protected from becoming witches not only by virtue of superior intellect and faith, but because Jesus Christ, phallic divinity, died “to preserve the male sex from so great a crime: since He was willing to be born and to die for us, therefore He has granted to men this privilege. ” Christ died literally for men and left women to fend with the Devil themselves.” (pg 129-130) Woman Hating, Andrea Dworkin
“The witches used drugs like belladonna and aconite, organic amphetamines, and hallucinogenics. They also pioneered the development of analgesics. They performed abortions, provided all medical help for births, were consulted in cases of impotence which they treated with herbs and hypnotism, and were the first practitioners of euthanasia. Since the Church enforced the curse of Eve by refusing to permit any alleviation of the pain of childbirth, it was left to the witches to lessen pain and mortality as best they could. It was especially as midwives that these learned women offended the Church, for, as Sprenger and Kramer wrote, “No one does more harm to the Catholic Faith than mid wives. ” The Catholic objection to abortion centered specifically on the biblical curse which made childbearing a painful punishment —it did not have to do with the “right to life” of the unborn fetus. It was also said that midwives were able to remove labor pains from the woman and transfer those pains to her husband—clearly in violation of divine injunction and intention both.” (pg 139-140) Woman Hating, Andrea Dworkin
“The magic of the witches was an imposing catalogue of medical skills concerning reproductive and psychological processes, a sophisticated knowledge of telepathy, auto- and hetero-suggestion, hypnotism, and mood-controlling drugs. Women knew the medicinal nature of herbs and developed formulae for using them. The women who were faithful to the pagan cults developed the science of organic medicine, using vegetation, before there was any notion of the profession of medicine. Paracelsus, the most famous physician of the Middle Ages, claimed that everything he knew he had learned from “the good women.” (pg 140) Woman Hating, Andrea Dworkin

Bolded sections are by me. Honestly I don’t think I need to explain much. We lost some of the most important women in the world, who were the pioneers of medicine for a “curse of eve”. Basically saying if you relieve another woman’s pain we’re going to call you a witch and kill you “in the name of god” because having a child is punishment upon women and relieving their pain is illegal because this book written by men told me so.
Also check out the part where men can’t be witches because jesus and his “phallic divinity” “preserve the male sex”.
Ever heard of the Voynich manuscript? Big, huge, herbal / medical / astronomical lexicon from the 1400s, depicting lots of naked women clearly performing rituals that serve medical functions, lots of them pretty clearly related to childbirth.
You know, this book that is written in a language that nobody has been able to read for 600 years, but nobody, and I mean NO MAN has ever even thought about the simple reality of WOMEN having written it.
I found one blog post by a woman about how this text is very clearly written by women, and the knowledge within it has been completely annihilated or co-opted by men who now don’t even consider the possibility that a woman, or multiple women, could have written something like this.
Seriously, look it up. Naked women. Fat, short, in baths, all of it. And the entire academic world is absolutely convinced this must have been written by a man. In the wikipedia article, only male linguists and historians are mentioned, because only they matter. And every single one of their theories is laughingly phallocentric and simply wrong.
They go so far as say that aliens wrote it before they consider that women actually had herbal and medicinal knowledge and passed that knowledge on, in secret, written in languages only they knew, so that no priest or holy man or inquisitor could read it and kill them.
Open your eyes. This has been going on for hundreds of years. Women had to hide in the shadows, had to invent languages, just to avoid being killed by men for trying to help themselves and other women. This is reality.
It wouldn’t be the first time women have had to invent their own language because of the rights men withheld from us.
A blog post is good but how about a whole blog written by a woman who’s actually making progress on the translation.
The Voynich manuscript is a book devoted to women’s health and medicine.
I don’t know if the blog writer is the first person to make her discoveries, but wrt to Mr. Gibbs, I’m not letting him steal this limelight.
I’ve never actually looked through the blog linked above, but now I did and it’s totally worth a look! It feels obscure and complex at first but you quickly get into it. And it’s entertaining, too:
It’s true.
If male scholars are so blinded by their bias they don’t see midwifery here, they shouldn’t be scholars. But as the blogger wrote, “better a man’s nonsense than a woman’s sense, or?”
and then what’s even more fucked up is how this all bled into colonization and imperialism, thinking all non-christian religious/spiritual practices were evil. countless traditions, languages, stories, and beliefs largely lost to time. thankfully, many people have worked hard to keep their ancestral ways alive, but i can’t help but to think of all of the little nuances and old nuggets of wisdom we’ve lost.
when hayao miyazaki said that true love was two people inspiring each other to live…recognizing just how hard living is, putting one foot in front of the other every day, how easy it is to lose our passion for it…… that’s the real shit
yeah Hayao how inspiring is it to lie to someone and tell them you love them and that if they give up their dreams of being an animator for a while and stay home to raise the kids while you finish animation school, you’ll do the same for them, and then not do that, thereby forcing that person to fully abandon their dreams?
Because that’s what you did to your wife, you lying sack of shit
Source, from Miyazaki’s own autobiography, Starting Point:
Claims he tried to be a good father, lmao no you didn’t!! You just left your wife to do everything for your children so you could pursue your passions. You didn’t try at all.
There are two steps in the thought process about male and female sport performance. The first is “men and women are physically different.” The second is “physical difference doesn’t suggest male superiority or necessitate female subordination.” Feminism happens in the second thought. It doesn’t happen in the first, in trying to argue men and women are biologically identical. If your arguments for female equality hinge on that, you’re fighting a losing battle. Hope that helps for the genderists who can’t understand why saying that a man shouldn’t compete in women’s sports isn’t the same as saying women are inferior.
If we applied consent rhetoric to men the way we apply it to women:
It’s not cool to kill a dude :( Unless he explicitly asks for it :) Then it‘s totally fine. In fact, it’s not uncommon for a guy to have a death wish (whips out statistics about male suicide). It’s a way for them to process trauma, so you’re actually helping them <3 And honestly, even if some men resist a homicide attempt, they’re gonna die anyway, am I right ;) (whips out statistic about lower male life expectancy)
insane how many people just have these incredible artists in their families who get no recognition outside of crocheting circles because this art form is devalued for its association with women
Which is it?
Wow, a minority is overrepresented in the prison population? They must be evil criminals! Because everyone knows the justice system is completely without bias and no cis man who commits a crime ever goes free when he shouldn't. Or has his crimes covered up by sympathetic parties. Nope, this data can absolutely be taken at face value!
I love that the screenshotted tweet is about sex crimes but the screenshotted article refers to a survey of the general prison population. Really clever way of arguing that 1 in 50 rapists are trans women with absolutely no evidence.
Also the survey found that the statistic goes up to 1 in 10 for romani people claiming to be trans in UK prisons which I think is really telling and might demonstrate some of the bias at work in the justice system but that whole article is focused on "should we try to find ways to keep trans women from being raped and killed in prison if some of them might rape cis women?" instead of why these marginalized groups are so overrepresented
Not “1 in 50 rapists are trans women.” I’m not sure why you’re making that assumption when Colin’s tweet says nothing about sex crimes or rapists? Neither does the article. Just Clymer. But you want those numbers?
“Of the 125 transgender prisoners counted by the prison service in 2017, 60 had been convicted of sexual offenses, including 27 convicted of rape. In the overall prison population, by comparison, 19% of males had been convicted of sexual crimes and only 4% of females.”
Of the trans prisoners counted by the MOJ in 2017, 48% were sex offenders, and 22% were rapists.
The Daily Mail article and the link above are discussing the same UK prison population.
do you have a masterlist post of receipts for elierlick? i have a couple followers who follow her and i want to reblog something like that to let people know i don't support her.
I did but tumblr deleted it due to Eli Erlick reporting it, sadly. I tried to look for it on archive sites but eli not only got the entire post wiped off of tumblr and got rid of the 10k+ notes, but the archived version’s pictures have been removed due to mostly false copyright claims. so that post didn’t survive. BUT here and here are Eli’s victim opening up about the abuse.

um... turns out the vaush-jkr twitter feud has turned the terminally online left against each other and they're fighting over whether misogyny is worse or leaking sexts. i wish i was making this up but im not 💀
vaush, local youtube pedophile, tripled down on his misogyny-is-acceptable-and-good-against-women-who-arent-woke, and milked jkr dragging him on every platform he could find.
kat blaque, a popular trans creator, tweeted that vaush used to sext her and has a small dick
contrapoints blocked vaush, who lost his mind as he's been simping over contra forever
so vaush, who has berated women for years in "defence of TRA" is now in a feud with 2 trans women
gendie left twitter has had to pick which misogynist they side with in what is probably their worst nightmare: a misogynistic TRA man being outed for having a small dick and sexting VS trans women who hate JKR but know misogyny against her makes them all look bad.
not only is this the funniest fucking shit i've seen all year, but think about JKR's POWER. two tweets and leftube is eating itself alive
Accessible radfem ideology masterpost
This post is for anyone who wishes to learn about true radical feminist or ‘TERF’ principles without trawling through academic reading or sources biased against us. The linked posts are of varying lengths and it is not a complete list; I may add more in the future. Other radfems, feel free to add your own links and categories.
Terminology:
TERF - Trans-Exclusionary Radical Feminist (refers to excluding trans women from feminism because they are biological males, NOT excluding trans men)
SWERF - Sex-Worker Exclusionary Radical Feminist (refers to the belief that sex work is not ‘work’ but rather, rape, and we do not support it. We include all women in our feminism, ESPECIALLY prostituted women.)
TEHM - Trans-Exclusionary Homosexual Male (essentially the same as a TERF, but males cannot be radfems.)
GC - Gender Critical (someone who does not believe in or agree with the socially constructed concept of gender, someone who believes only in biological sex, not gender roles)
TIM - Trans-Identified Male (trans woman, MTF)
TIF - Trans-Identified Female (trans man, FTM)
AGP - Autogynephile (a man who is aroused by seeing himself as a woman)
AAP - Autoandrophile (the far rarer case of a woman who is aroused by seeing herself as a man)
HSTS - Homosexual Transsexual (for example, a trans man who is only sexually attracted to other biological females)
TRA - Trans Rights Activist
SSA - Same sex attracted
OSA - Opposite sex attracted
What is a TERF? What does it mean to be gender critical? What is a radical feminist?
“Radical Feminist theory analyses the structures of power which oppress the female sex. Its central tenet is that women as a biological class are globally oppressed by men as a biological class…” read more about the definition of radical feminism at radfemcollective.org

What exactly is a woman? Circular logic and sexism galore

Thank you for reading. You can send me an ask or DM if you have further questions.
I really do recommend reading S.C.U.M. Manifesto if you haven’t.
I studied political philosophy in college. I’ve sunk hundreds of hours into writings by men who truly believed women were sub-human sex animals; truly believed it and thought that belief was divine brilliance. I don’t flinch at these anymore, but it’s hard to get through the misandrist manifesto. Even at its peak, it is not one tenth as degrading, dehumanizing, violent, as what “great thinkers” wrote of women. We are more desensitized to our own dehumanization than we know.
The SCUM manifesto is a light reading. I found it exhilarating. I felt better after reading it.
Women all ages should read it. Read it today.

I’ve seen a bunch of new blogs pop up around “looking into radical feminism” or “learning more about radical feminism” or “discovering radical feminism” and it’s not people blogging about what they’re leaning, it’s people trying to learn political theory from social media and specifically the tumble posts of people extremely unqualified to do this
I cannot stress enough that you are not learning about radical feminism from tumble dot com.
by all means make contacts, reach out to people, ask questions, have dialog, but the odds are just as good that you’ll connect with someone who knows what they are talking about and can work through ideas with you and give you good book recs as they are good you’ll run into an absolute nincompoop who has no idea what they’re talking about and who will lead you very, very far astray
You need to be reading books. Old books. Books published in the late sixties and in the seventies and in the eighties and in the nineties. You need to be comfortable reading books by people who say things you don’t agree with. You need to be comfortable coming to understand someone’s ideas even if you have different ideas of your own. You need to be comfortable pausing in your reading sometimes to go learn about another concept assumed to be understood in your book before you can continue. You need to be comfortable with learning as a process, and with reasoning as a process. These are not things we are taught to do in Western schools, and they are certainly not things we are taught to do through social media.
Please read more books. Rent them at a library. Buy the cheaper ebook version. Google for pdfs. Pirate them if the author is dead and they’re out of print, I don’t care. Just read ore books, I am literally begging the entire internet.
tell me your interests and I will recommend specific books for you, open offer
This is a massive list of radical feminist books as PDFs

Sex Trafficking in America: A Former Sex Slave’s Story of Hope
For everyone who says that western women don’t need feminism, this is America, this is what men in America do to children. Do you think that when they go home to their families they are respectful to the women they live with? Do you think that when they go to work or the grocery store or ride the bus they are respectful to the women they meet? These are the men the rest of us are stuck with, too. These men did not come out of nowhere. Our culture made that possible. Our culture makes this torture possible. Read this woman’s story and tell me again about how misogyny isn’t a problem in America and women aren’t oppressed because of our sex.
I remember seeing another gifset of this woman’s interview. The last customer she saw wanted to watch a little girl set on fire. Her burned body was dumped in the trash. I don’t know how she survived.
