Prepare for some DOOM

meme: send me a !!! and my muse will pay your muse a compliment âşâş [not accepting]
ââYou kind of seem like a smarter human⌠even if you arenât the tallest of them.ââ

Her voice barely roused him from his stupor.
For a moment, ZIM wondered if Dib had been with her. Perhaps there was an entire crowd behind her. Maybe she had even brought the paparazzi to him. If that was the case, it really didnât matter at this point.
ZIM made a low groaning sound in his throat, weakly turning his head to face her. His once shimmering eyes held no sign of life as he glanced her direction, showing his teeth pathetically. He couldnât even manage a hiss.
âGo ahead. Send them all. I donât care.â
To his surprise, it was just Gaz, no different than the last time heâd seen her two weeks ago during his bi-weekly spat with her brother. Dressed in her usual attire, she towered over him. It was amazing how large humans grew when they became older.
Either way, he stopped speaking when he saw that she was alone. He didnât long for any interaction anymore, and the fact that she was alone made him care even less. She couldnât possibly deal him any more harm than had already been given.
Turning back the other way, ZIM growled lowly again, curling up into a tighter ball. He closed his eyes again and exhaled slowly.
âLeave my labs, Dib-sister. I have nothing you want here.â
She looked behind her for anyone that may have followed her, a tinge of guilt resting in the depths of her chest. Gaz didnât see anyone--other than what could have been Gir lurking in the shadows. Perhaps that was her imagination, but the small bot did have its own erratic behavior to watch out for. Gaz surveyed the laboratory as she took steps closer to Zim. Her arms were folded in a way that seemed unimpressed, but in reality, she was worried. She had never seen the formerly domination-obsessed Zim so lacking in vigor. She cocked her head to the side.
âSend what? My best regards? A flying armada of Cheese-Its? Itâs just me, Zim. Little Gaz, remember?â she addressed dryly. She took more steps to the nearly lifeless body. This wasnât like him to tolerate her presence. Well, he had in the past due to her indifference of him, but now that she felt something different to her apathyâwhat was it, worry? His current state was enough to pull her out of her stone-like state.
What drew her most to worry was that there was a familiarity in his state; it was something she herself experienced time ago. Not that she wanted to think about it now, but Gaz still felt that darkness come up in reaction so seeing Zim. Funny, she was never the compassionate type.
âWhat are you going to do? Doom me to death?â Gaz challenged as she stood over him.

He wasnât sure how long heâd been there.
Time didnât matter to ZIM anymore. Nothing did. The quietness of the alien machinery and dimness of the once bright, magenta lights were mirror of his spirit now.
It was a lie.
His antenna twitched ever so slightly, the only sign of life or movement he could muster. Still as sensitive as ever, they picked up the subtle vibrations on the ground above. Probably GIR moving around. Not that he cared - if Dib came now itâd be a blessing, not a curse.
Youâre not an invader.
ZIMâs eyes opened momentarily, just long enough to glance around in front of him. As if anything would change. Within seconds they were closed again with a sigh. His skin wasnât the same hue of green; it was nearly white, and the shimmering rubies that were set in his head no longer held any glimmer of life. He looked pathetic.
Donât ever come back. You are dead to us.
Barely, he curled into a tighter ball. The long, black appendage twitched again when he heard the sentient computer start to say something, but then stop.
âWhatever it is, I donât want to hear it.â
Gaz looked at the once-heavily-secured lawn in front of the dinky house on the âtotally normalâ street. It no longer rang with the tinkering noises of the innocuous gnomes on the fake grass. She poked one curiously--they used to be so tall to her. A light hum sang out of her nostrils as she approached the front door. Itâs been so long... what was she supposed to prepare for? The robotic parents? Gaz gave three brief knocks and folded her arms stubbornly. Itâs been a long time since Dib and Zim had been in shenanigans as they used to, but Dib moved on to bigger and better chases after his finding of other aliens. And Zim...
She didnât quite know. A bland day and a growing curiosity got the better of her, so she figured why not. They were acquainted at one point, werenât they?
The woman got tired of waiting and tried the doorknob. To her surprise, it was open, so she tentatively walked in. Half-lidded eyes indolently surveyed the living area to find nothing active. The robotic parents she expected to see were lying in a corner, rusting. Her brows furrowed. That typically wasnât a good sign--she wondered if he may have abandoned the place.
âZim?â she called out in a moderate indoor volume, turning around as she walked. Even the familiarness of Gir was nowhere to be sensed. What happened? A light ting played at her heartstrings at the thought of a childhood friend just leaving without a goodbye. She was never one to have many friends, so she counted Zim as one. Her mindless footsteps led her to an interesting... elevator? She vaguely remembered the mechanics of it all, but the buttons she pressed when inside felt right. Once it shut the doors and took her down, she assumed she guessed correctly.
The doors opened to a stale-stenched room with none other than Zim himself lying around, looking almost lifeless. Gazâs eyes widened in shock. Was--Is--Is he alright? Her rather indifferent nature was put in an alert mode, but she moved at her naturally slow pace. The voice surprised her, and she felt her naturally formed smirk grow on her face.
âItâs never a good sign when you sound like me.â
ayyy lmao
