The thing about Lovecraft's work is that he did write about some genuinely fucked up critters, but he doesn't seem to have had a clear picture of which ones those are. "Dog that inhabits right angles" and "sapient colour" are treated as exactly as mind-bending as, like, "guy who looks like a fish" and "big penguin".

I hate to be That Guy, but the Hounds of Tindalos (a.k.a. "Dog that inhabits right angles") were created by Frank Belknap Long, one of Lovecraft's writing circle, not HPL himself -- though they turn up in one of Lovecraft's later stories, because those guys were all cross-referencing each other.

(Meanwhile, I wholly agree with @fireball-me's assessment.)

I finally got some art motivation and combined my interests lol

It started with me wanting to draw Rocky in Tenna's suit and then I did Mitzi and then thought of Freckle and Ivy as Susie and Noelle sooo ye :3

Freckle kinda fits Ralsei more but then I think hes more of a mix between Ralsei and Susie, and then for Ivy I do think she and Noelle would get along well. I wanted to draw her in Noelle's light world outfit but wanted to draw Freckle in Susie's dark world fit so I just went with dark world :b

Do y'all think Freckle had this reaction because he thought Rocky told Ivy about whatever "incident" got kicked him out of the house? (The one that was apparently Freckle's fault in the first place.)

I mean I'm positive this must be about that incident. But considering the level of confidence Ivy has with Freckle, and the fact that such incident seems to be... really serious (something that gets you kicked out of your house!), I am guessing he would expect a much more catastrophic consequence if anyone finds out.

For me, this is more of a "Rocky's worsening mental health is getting dangerously close to making a disaster" kind of reaction. I don't see panic, I see anxiety.

the animation bug…….it got me……

I got inspired by some of the rough I saw for lackadaisy episode 1 and decided to animate a scene from the comic. That thought slowly snowballed into this shot, which—while it technically doesn’t exist in canon—is inspired by Rocky’s demeanour in Breakdown.

I may or may not have been grabbing the air like a baby reaching for a mobile trying to figure out how someone would turn a steering wheel.
