Four very different and still very similar knives. What is your favorite?

Inspired by the colors of autumn, we want to present one piece of material that is most spectacular at this time of year: Mountain-ash. Mountain-ash is beautiful strong wood and very good material for knives. Ancient beliefs say that the mountain-ash fends off evil and bestows good powers.

Mountain-ash is a material held in high esteem, and is durable, tough and handsome. In addition to being used for knife handles, mountain-ash is also used in wooden mallet hammer heads. Mountain-ash has two shades making it an interesting material to work with.

Acient beliefs says also that mountain ash don´t carry many burdens. This year there has been lots of berries. So if belives will be true, we will have really little snow in winter. This is the best time of the year what comes to Lappish delicacies. One of our favorites is sundried beef jerky. Did you know there is big happening that is dedicated to sundried beef jerky in Savukoski Finland. This knife is made part of local representation costume. Knife and costume will be presented tomorrow in Savukoski.

We are very proud of our Finnish defence forces. So it is an honour to make knives for northern military forces. This knifes handle is made goat williow roat burl and bone. Blade is carbon steel.
