only 2015 kids remember my gem oc- I gave Rhodochrosites from Homeworld a new purpose after finally understanding how the caste system works. -Also Homeworld Cymo @tigertoony​ created not too long ago!

Rhodos are rare Era 1 gems, part of Pink Diamond’s court. Since Pink Diamond was so fond of fun and entertainment, Blue and Yellow Diamond allowed the creation of these monochromatic gems as performers compared to earth’s Theater, Broadway and Opera singers. Rhodo’s sing, dance and even create colorful flashy lights-their singing is said to make any gem feel euphoria and pure joy compared again to Blue Diamond’s ability to make people cry based on her emotions.

Our Rhodo however is a terrible singer..their other 2 Rhodochrosites cover them with their beautiful melody-whilst they just do flashy stuff instead in their shows. At the same time, Rhodo is lowkey annoyed how they cant go out and explore the colonies like the Amethysts do-they befriend them but they kept warning Rhodo that their a special gem, not made for fighting.  “But im big just like you guys! I..i can try!” “hahah oh Rhodo, thats not enough..you’re needed here.” 

Frustrated, Rhodo sneaked in one of the ships when Pink Diamond was ready to colonize Earth, and got caught in the Gem War. Rhodo watched as their friends got poofed or shattered in the battlefield and even got caught up with one of the Crystal Gems troops..But was never seen again. Though rumors say Rhodo was discovered thousands of years later as a gem by confused but very caring Buddhist monks of the mountain.

Sliced up a roast on my slicer so I could make really thin jerky. I’ve been making it super lazily and just sprinkling pink salt and black pepper on one side. The key to feeling full off of beef jerky without eating it ALL is adding fat! My go-to is kerrygold butter spread all over it. 🤤 Jerky has been a staple for me and adding the fat makes this super satiating.
