This shouldn’t even have to be said, but guess what?? It does!

Recently, I’ve seen a lot of YOI fans get interested in Irl skating, which is great. You know what’s not great? Taking real life skaters, real life people, and acting like they are nothing more than characters in this amazing anime. They are humans, not characters.

Yuzuru Hanyu is a 22-year old ice skater from Japan, and he is absolutely amazing. He’s broken multiple world records, preformed amazingly despite him taking a face first fall on the ice (which really fucking hurts), etc

But kind of comments does he get for that? Comments like:

“Bruhhhh it’s a real life Yuri Katsuki!”

“Where’s his Viktor at 😂”

“*referring to when he clashed into another skater and took a face first slam onto the ice* OMG what if this happened in YOI” These are actual comments I have scene on YouTube videos about Yuzuru’s skating/his performances

Oh and let’s not forget the little bitch who changed Yuzuru’s entire Wikipedia page to fit as if he was Yuuri (they changed his name, and took off all the names of his coaches and put Viktor, and just messed up a lot of articles)

Do you understand how messed up this is? This isn’t some anime for this man, this is his career; his life.

What’s okay: getting interested into ice skating due to YOI, making comparisons to skaters to characters: but not overly so, to admire ice skaters

What’s not okay: acting like irl ice skaters are Yuri On Ice characters, making serious situations that happen to ice skaters something related to a ship or any situation in Yuri On Ice, harassing a real life skater due to resemblance they might share to any character

Cmon YOI fandom, I know you aren’t bad people.

Okay now that gets interesting and I would want to actually ask a rabbi whether that would be a thing.  like, if one must consume the blood of living things to survive, does it make a difference whether one limits it to the blood of kosher animals or not.  I could see it being ruled either way.  (I would think if there is only one type of blood one can metabolize or if only one type of blood is available, one can consume it regardless.)

I remember learning that human blood (not sure about animal blood) is permissible to consume if it has not been “poresh” (”separated”) from the body (in the context of “if you cut your lip or your finger and immediately and instinctively put it in your mouth, you don’t have to spit out the blood”).

So 

Drinking blood out of a goblet or vacuum-sealed bag would be assur, but sinking your teeth into someone and drinking directly (so that the blood never touches the air or is in a vessel) would be okay.

I know that applies to one’s own blood, but I don’t know if the principle applies to someone else’s.  But it may count as a possible precedent!

Okay, so I asked my rabbi about this (… yes, my actual rabbi). Short answer, @fenrisesque​, is that the ideal situation is for the vampire to intravenously ingest blood that was donated by a human in order to stay alive, assuming that donation doesn’t kill the person. If homemade intravenously doesn’t work, then storebought oral ingestion is fine too. This applies whether or not the vampire can drink animal blood. PETA cares about money and publicity, its a corporation run by a psychopath who is afraid of pitts as it states in the link: she was apparently bit by one, and now she hates them. 

PETA doesn’t give a rats ass about animals. They just want to kill and make money off of idiots who fall of their spiel.

-used a young man’s brutal death as a way to say “yeah that’s awful but it happens to animals every day and nobody cares about that” (tw: no pictures but the way the guy died is described and it is really horrible)

-dressed up in KKK robes and protested outside of the Westminister Dog Show to protest breeding/pure bred dogs (tw: racism)

-offered to pay the water bill for literally the poorest neighborhood in Detroit if and only if they all went vegan for a month (tw: self-righteous shitheads)

-and they definitely didn’t have two of their workers accept perfectly healthy animals from an animal hospital, with the implication that they would give them good homes, clarify that these animals were all healthy and well-tempered, and then euthanized them all in the back of a kill-van before dumping their dead bodies behind a grocery store (tw: PICTURES OF DEAD ANIMALS, animal death)

-and they totally didn’t get off pretty much scot-free for it because PETA has loads of money and lawyers to defend themselves, which coincidentally might be why the Cerate family hasn’t seen justice for their kidnapped and murdered dog, Maya. (tw: animal death)

In the commentary for this episode the creators said there were supposed to be cars in this scene, but there was a communication error with the studio in Korea that did the animations and cars never got in. They already had the audio and after putting it together they liked this version better than the original idea because it was even more surreal.

A few years ago, in high school I was really into fixing phones. I would by $50 screens on ebay and charge ~$25 for my time(2ish hours). Friends got discounts. And because it was high school, $75 was ripping people off(for a screen that apple would replace for $150). Many people used me as an easy way to make $75 off their parents, which I was cool with. I had a lot of complaining about how I shouldn’t be charging $75 for a screen, so I let a lot of people slide with $60 or even $50 if I knew money was tight in their family or like they actually worked for their own money.

Anyway, this rich, smug asshole comes up to me after class one day and asks if I can fix his phone. (This was possibly the first thing that he has ever said to me that wasn’t rude or sarcastic.)

Sure.

Grabbed his phone after school, going out of my way to meet him. We agreed on my normal $75 price which is pretty fair. Told him to meet me at like 4 or something because he had some dumb rich kid shit to do. He pulls up in an $70k Audi and I show him his phone. He hands me $20 and said I would get the rest in school.

Sure.

Next day I ask him if he had the money, he said he didn’t. (he did)

Sure.

Ask him every other day for a week, trying not to be an annoying asshole about it and he keeps saying that I will get it the next day.

Sure.

About 2 weeks pass and I told him that I really needed it for more parts to fix other phones.

By the way, I have talked to several people in the class who I thought he was friends with and explained the story. Everyone sympathized with me and says he was a giant douche, and definitely had the money in his pocket along with hundreds more from his parents.

I tell him that I needed it by Friday, it was like Tuesday.

Sure.

Friday rolls around and I finally ask him, “Just give me a straight answer, are you going to pay me the remaining $55 or not?” He rolls his eyes and gives me a really shitty, “problee nahh”.

I hand him the same $20 bill he gave me.

“…uhhhh…. what is this for???”

Takes the bill as he sets down his phone, I pick it up and before he realizes that I have it, I smash it face first on the ground in front him and the whole class. “Ohh my god what the fuck?!?!?” “transaction canceled” (still nerdy but the smoothest thing I could think of saying).

Teacher takes us to the office, on the way I explain the situation to her.

After hearing the story she sends us straight to class instead of the office.

“Ohh my god what the fuck?!?!?” == last words he ever said to me.

tl;dr: Rebroke a phone a rich asshole wouldn’t pay for.
