ok..im sorry ive been off the charts with sad nico…but we as a fandom need to acknowledge nico’s struggles with eating more. it is an important and realistic way that his trauma manifests into his mental state. his drastic weight drop that was described might have been from the homelessness and lack of food, yes, but once he returns back to camp he does not just go back to eating as he once did. he cannot. it is something he must actively work on, progress that is not linear. it’s a sensitive topic for many, but my favorite thing about nico’s character is how startlingly human he is. whether it be through the grief he must live with, or this topic, his character feels like a struggling child would. do not ignore his struggles with eating, whether you want to label it as disordered or not, just do not ignore that aspect of how mental health affects the body.

Headcanon that after Tartarus, they have this little fear nagging in the back of their heads about losing one another. So they use ways to communicate that surprise other campers.

They both will use communications that apply to their abilities. I made a headcanon about Will's sensitive hearing so I headcanon that whenever Nico's far away atleast a good 1km, Nico claps his hands into the open air in a specific way that Will catches on even through a whole crowd.

Whenever Nico is atleast a few meters or more or even the almost the same distance as earlier. Will taps his feet or taps his knuckles gently onto the ground to send a signal. Vibrations are carried through the earth and Nico would feel them like a chill up his spine.

And he gets the signal pretty well. They learn how to communicate well especially when in lost situations. Like losing each other somewhere.

It's extremely pretty easy for them to use this whenever they side on the same team in Capture The Flag.

Will or Nico gives a signal to the other, and the other will catch the signal and act on it.

I just know that if they're angry and they don't want to talk, you'll have Nico either rapping against the wall or table angrily.

With Will aggressively tapping his foot onto the ground sending angry message or paragraph to Nico.

And Nico responds with a loud snap of his fingers that makes Will retaliate.

They get over it and make up but that's how they would talk if they had that ability. 😭

Somethimes just lisening tho the constand chattering could calm nicos nerves and leo loves having some company he knows won’t look at him weird no matter what he says.
