It was a huge milestone of scientific and technological advancement. (Plus, at the time, politically significant). Humanity went to space! We set foot on a celestial body that was not earth for the first time in human history! That’s a big deal! I’ve never thought about it before but now that I have, it’s ridiculous to me that that’s not part of our everyday lives and the public consciousness anymore. Why don’t we have a public holiday and a family barbecue about it. Why have I never seen the original broadcast of the moon landing? It should be all over the news every year!

#never got around to commenting mine when I watched the og video #if I need to nap I found that the best way to do that without sleeping too long #or waking up somehow more tired and groggy is to do a segmented 30 min nap #by segmented I mean break that 30 mins into chunks with my alarm #first I set my alarm for 15 min and sleep #when that goes off I set my alarm for 10 and then sleep more #and then I set it for a final 5 mins before I wake up again slightly more rested enough to finish out the day #I never sleep for long enough to go fully asleep and the decreasing time between alarms gradually transitions me outta nap mode #it’s very good for long days in front of my screen and eye strain is a factor in my need for a nap
