Hi, I'm Robyn! I make all sorts of stuff, mostly in traditional materials. Currently working on the comic about fantasy cats "To fire the flies". Its still work in progress and doesn't have its own blog yet. I also have two other stories which I'll share little tidbits of.
~ Boundaries ~
• Russians are not welcomed here. Sorry not sorry. You guys trigger me.
• Reblogging my art is totally okay, but I would rather not see it posted separately without individual permission.
• Fanart is cool! Can't think of a reason people would want to do it right now, so saying it for the future. Feel free to draw my critters and ping me! Or send it in the ask! I want to see!!
• Try not to misgender me pls. I use they/them, though it/its also works.

#tofiretheflies – the story that is currently in development. Its about cats who try to restore the harm done by humans after their extinction.
#luminaries – my oldest story. Its about a postapocaliptic world full of weird creatures, messy politics, and religious beliefs that haunt lifes of both believers and gods themselfs
#cryingdoves – antro animals who were once members of a themed club that searches for paranormal, but after death of one of the members things changed.
#robynsart – drawings, crafts and other stuff!
One and only warning: my art has some rather mature themes. I'm not going to put specific trigger warnings, as it destroys the surprise :)
I created this tumblr hastily after hesitating for a year, hope it goes well...
My name is Robyn (they/them), and I was making my comic for almost a year at this point. Last year of college as well as some other stuff got me slowed down, but Iam still going and thats what matters.
"To fire the flies" is a comic following a story of a young butterflycat named Fairy. She is eager to grow up and become someone in the world that is shattering around her.
This story is about being a young artistic and queer individual trying to manage early adulthood during an active war. The dying world in this comic is a metaphor to the war in my country, and the story is deeply personal to my own life expirience
The comic is made with traditional materials, with most pages being drawn with acrilic markers and colored pencils.
Currently I'm about halfway through the first chapter. Here are some wips of the pages!
I really like transfem Jax theory, and here is my lil thing that is almost definetly not true but is fun to think about
I watched documentary about hares and found out that male hares are called jacks, and females are jills or does
Jax is very simillar in pronounsiation with jack, but different spelling. So my theory is that if Jax desides to change their name, it is going to be either Jill or Doe but spelled differently. Jyl maybe?
That feeling when I want to be a rebellious punk but make the whole systems in my head on how to avoid being canselled when in reallity nobody fucking cares about me
Planning on making a lot of these, then putting them in a bag to give up to random ppl.
Ngl I came up with this when I saw kids doing quadrobics in masks and thought: "I want to be whimsical and give them something cool". And also I just love jackalopes so it all clicked.
There is a big one under the cut
This was the prototype but I kinda imagine it as their parent
There is that terf who calls herself a jumalanpelko fan and I just find it so funny how she makes a whole comic about Viima being "not girly enough" in cults opinion while in the comic itself girl cats:
Rule cults
Strike fear into everyone
Fight foxes
Make kids fight
Attempt murder
So she basically made up that Viima is trans because he was pressured to be "girly", was offended by that, and then made a whole comic deconstructing that. While people with eyes and any understanding of trans expirience see Viima as a person who never had a chance to explore who they truly are.
While there is a point to be made that she-cats seem to have pressure to become mothers and have baby suncats, and suncats themself have to accept and love the fact that they are gods houses, there are no gender roles like those in our society. Cats in the cult, toms and she-cats, all have to be obedient and serving their god, because IT IS A FUCKING CULT. The only exceptions to that are Guard and Viima. Not because they are boys, not because they are not girly, but because they have rebellious nature to them. Each have their reasons for that, that you can learn BY JUST READING THE COMIC
do you have any cat comic recommendations? Reading a few but would like to find more!
oh boy do i have so many. and i would really love to write a little blurb for each one and why i like it but i'm afraid i will never answer the ask if i wait til i have the energy to do that so
i did go through and label my fanarts on my other blog with a comic rec tag which i do include a little bit about the comic in.
but not everything i read is in there (hands and time be damned i will make fresh fanart for everyone!!!!!) so lemme include some others off the top of my head

I just do not like interacting with people recently. Not sure if thats a sign of smth serious, but I'm just mentally exhausted and do not want to be percieved.
I never really felt the need to explain myself on the internet because I am in no way a content creator. But with me starting a comic, interactions with people online more and more feel like something I need to do to get noticed.
And I just can't at this point in time. I'm still drawing and making stuff, but for now it won't be posted. Not here, not on other socials. Unless I feel like it. I feel silly since I'm basically speaking into the nothingness, but I'm saying it more for myself then for any of the 2-3 followers I have.
