Fanfic side blog. Originally for dumping Marvel content, now also for some DC content. On the Marvel side, I mostly write about Daredevil, particularly Matt/Frank. Matt, Frank, and Elektra are my faves. For DC, I’ve written some Slade/Dick and plan to write more, and mostly post about them and some adjacent characters.

Slade being sent to do some sort of job at a rich person yacht party and Dick is there, dressed in swimming trunks and an unbuttoned cotton shirt. And because the ship is all taken hostage, Dick can't find an opening to slip away and superhero up but he isn’t going to just let Slade have an easy ride. So he is lounging about on the boat, damp from sea water, body glistening in the afternoon sun. And every time Slade looks at him, he is striking a new seductive pose. And eventually he convinces the head of whoever is doing the hostage taking to let them break into the freezers and get out some ice cream snacks before everyone ends up dropping from heat stroke and Slade has to physically knock an ice lolly out of Dick’s hands after the young man starts licking it maintaining perfect eye contact with Slade.

a character who truly, legitimately goes “but why does that matter?” about their feelings when someone who cares about them asks. and the sudden falling of everyone around them’s faces as they realize that this person doesn’t recognize themself as someone who needs or should be taken care of. i want Everyone to hurt. surprise at the idea, worry for them, horror at not having noticed. do you see this person who doesn’t think of themselves as a person?

Dick being invited to some assassin business meeting by Slade since Slade wants a pretty toy sitting on his lap only the meeting is in Gotham and Dick doesn't want to risk Bruce finding out about them. Slade points out that its not just some meeting and everyone in that room is going to have to have been on the scene for years to even be considered for an invite. There is no way anyone is going to be incompetent enough to let it slip to the Bat. And so Dick agrees. And he dresses in his most sinful black outfit and even wears the collar he knows Slade loves so much and is fully prepared to enjoy subbing for Slade with the added thrill of being in a room of people who would kill him if they realised who he was. And then he is lead in and immediately his eyes lock on to Matches Malone a.k.a Bruce's criminal undercover identity and he immediately just wants the world to swallow him whole.
